"I Recommend Jesus" Lyrics

Well, I recommend Jesus
(I recommend Jesus)
For all your needs
(For all your needs)
If you're in sin
(If you're in sin)
He'll set you free
(He'll set you free)

Listen, whenever you're feeling down
(If you feel down)
As down as can be
(As down as can be)
I recommend Jesus
(I recommend Jesus)
For all your needs
(For all your needs)

Repeat

Verse:
Listen church, I'm coming to you as plan as I know how
Talking about the one who can do anything right now
Sitting on His throne waiting on you to call
He's the only one that can catch you when you fall

Whenever you're feeling down
(If you feel down)
Down as can be
(Down as can be)
I recommend Jesus
(I recommend Jesus)
For all your needs
(For all your needs)

 Hi!

I found two interesting articles about "The Ein Gedi parchment scroll—which is the oldest scroll discovered from the Hebrew Bible since the Dead Sea Scrolls."

http://www.livescience.com/51610-burned-hebrew-scroll-deciphered.html

and

The 1,500-year-old Hebrew scroll—was studied and the text revealed by scientists—adding to many other ancient scrolls and manuscripts that confirm the text of the Bible

In Josh McDowell's famous books for students and scholars, "Evidence That Demands A Verdict," he reports that some 5,000 Biblical sources have been discovered and that they are virtually identical to what we now have in our Bibles—noting a few small changes that do not affect the meaning of sentences.

Blind Boys of Alabama - Faith And Grace (with lyrics)

Hi!

According to their website, the Blind Boys of Alabama "first sang together as kids at the Alabama Institute for the Negro Blind in the late 1930s" and still have original member Jimmy Carter at the helm.

http://www.blindboys.com/about/

They definitely have a unique sound that is unlike almost everything else in gospel music today.

Recently I came across their recording "Faith And Grace" which really caught my ear and I thought I'd share it here.

While it's a "music only" video I posted the lyrics below so you can follow along and sing out if you're so inclined.

: )

I hope you will feel Blessed as you listen to it!

Faith And Grace - Lyrics

And when my burden seems hard to bare
And there is no one to help me share
I just call on King Jesus
And I know he'll surely hear
You know He took my load away
And I begin to say
Just a little more Faith and Grace is all I need
(Jesus is all I need)

Well...
That's all... that's all I need
When I cannot see my way
Ohhh...that's all...that's all I need
To help me run the race
That's all...all I need
When I cannot see my way
Just a little more faith & grace
That's all I need
(Jesus is all I need)

You know prayer
Is the key to the kingdom
You know faith can unlock the door
I just call Him every morning
The strength I need as I go

Oh, He'll give you what you need
Oh, If you'll only just believe
Just a little more Faith & Grace
All I need
(Jesus is all I need)

Beautiful Worship Music Video: The Lord's Prayer Sung By 7 Year Old Rhema Marvanne

Public Domain Image: https://www.pexels.com/photo/person-standing-on-concrete-stone-under-white-clouds-during-sunset-42379/

Hello!

I hope you are having a Blessed Sunday.

Some time ago I found the wonderful music created by Rhema Marvanne on YouTube.

Rhema Marvanne
Rhema Marvanne

She was just 7 to 9 years old years old when a lot of this music was produced—and for some reason she no longer has a presence on-line—but what an impact she made when she was.

I posted her beautiful version of another song on 11-9-12, and tell more about her life and story (including losing her mother to cancer in 2008) and invite you to check that out as well.

Today I'll post her sweet but powerful version of The Lord's Prayer.

Check out that note she holds at about 3 minutes into the song—and then remember she was just a child when this was recorded.

To God be the Glory INDEED!!!

: )

The video is also nicely edited by someone and includes both photos and lyrics to accompany little Rhema's annointed singing.

I pray this song fills you with God's presence and love today!

Thank you for stopping by!

Secret Closet - Lyrics

So good to know,
I got a place to go,
When the world gets me down,
And disappointment's all around

I find my Secret Closet and Pray, Pray Pray!

Repeat 1 X

You talking about a good time children,
(Til we're all alone)
Songs of praises all day long,
Ain't no secret what my God can do,
What he's done for others He'll do the same for you,

I just find myself a Secret Closet,
When you get down there, You just Pray, Pray, Pray!

We need to Pray!

(repeat)

If the Lord God will fix it for me,
He sure will fix it for you!

Annointed Gospel Music: Run On - The Echoaires (Live)

"Music-Only" Video Below

--------------------------------------

Hebrews 12:1-3 New International Version (NIV)

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

This song is so AWESOME!!

It's called "Run On" and is sung by a group called The Echoaires.

This wonderful song reveals what an amazing musicians and singers they are—and how Blessed their music is.

The song starts out gently and slowly ramps up until end.

I hope you will feel moved and Blessed by it too!

(lyrics Below video)

"Run On" - Lyrics

Chorus:

Lord, I've got to run on and see,
Just what the end is going to be,
Every day, I'm making preparations,
To see God's face,
I've got to run on,
Run on and see,
What the the end is going to be,

Oooh,

(Repeat Chorus)

I found out in this race that,

That if I try, and look like myself in Christ,
Then I can have what I want in life,

(Repeat chorus)

The Bible says this,
You know I heard the Scripture said,

If you ask it shall be given,
Seek, you shall find,
Knock and the door will be opened unto you

(Repeat Chorus)

You know what pastor,
You know what I found out,

There some folks today,
That just come to church,
Some just come to look at,
Some come to praise

But we got news,
We got news for you,
What ever it is today,

If you can't help me,
Don't try to stop me,
Move out of my way,
Don't you try to block me,
I've got a race to run,

And I'm running by faith
I'm running!

Anointed Christian Music: Jennifer Hudson - Jesus Promised Me A Home Over There

Music-Only Video Follows Commentary Below

------------------------------

Revelation 7:13-17

The Great Multitude in White Robes

After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice:
“Salvation belongs to our God,
who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb.”
11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying:
“Amen!
Praise and glory
and wisdom and thanks and honor
and power and strength
be to our God for ever and ever.
Amen!”
13 Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?”
14 I answered, “Sir, you know.”
And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore,
“they are before the throne of God
    and serve him day and night in his temple;
and he who sits on the throne
will shelter them with his presence.
16 ‘Never again will they hunger;
    never again will they thirst.
The sun will not beat down on them,’
    nor any scorching heat.
17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne
    will be their shepherd;
‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’
‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.

I've loved the gospel sound for years!

Since I grew up in the mountains of Colorado, I'm not sure exactly where this comes from.

Lately I've been searching and searching for songs that fit that slot in my ear and heart, and thank God I've finally stumbled across a good variety of songs in that style and will be posting them here as time allows.

Just today I found this one from Jennifer Hudson called "Jesus Promised Me A Home Over There."

It's such a simple but beautiful arrangement—just piano and organ—and features Jennifer's amazing voice.

I hope it speaks to your heart as well!

Thanks for stopping by—and may God richly Bless you!

(Lyrics below music-only video)

Jesus Promised Me A Home Over There - Lyrics

There's a place in heaven prepared for me
When the toils of this life is over
Where the saints are clothed in white
Before the throne singing praises forever, forever more

In my Father's house there are mansions bright
If He said, then I know, I know it's true, yeah
There's a place for me beyond, beyond the sky
Brothers and sisters there is one for you

Jesus, He promised me a home over there
Jesus promised me a home over there
No more sickness, sorrow, pain or care
He promised, me a home over there

Jesus promised me a home over there
Jesus promised me a home over there
No more sickness or sorrow, pain or care
Jesus promised me a home over there

Uplifting Christian Song: B.J. Thomas - He's the Hand on My Shoulder (1979)

Hi!

BJ Thomas has a unique, powerful voice that many people might first associate with his 1969 pop hit "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head," from the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, starring Robert Redford and Paul Newman. *

You might also recognize other pop songs he recorded like Hooked On A Feeling and (Hey Won't You Play) Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song, as well as many others he recorded in his heyday during the 60's and 70's.

A long time ago I read his book Home Where I Belong and in it he wrote candidly about his struggles with addiction and alcoholism and how he almost destroyed his marriage and himself.

The beginning of his story is not unlike those that many stars go through, often with fatal results, but Thomas' life was spared when he became a Christian in 1975 and found not only eternal life but also earthly salvation from drugs and alcohol.

"In 1976, Thomas released Home Where I Belong ... the first of several gospel albums. It was the first Christian album to go platinum, and Thomas became the biggest contemporary Christian artist of the period."

Today I'll post a great song from that first Christian album called "He's the Hand On My Shoulder."

The video embedded below is "music only" but you'll find the lyrics underneath it.

Thanks for stopping by!

May this song Bless you and fill you with God's love!

B.J. Thomas - He´s the Hand on My Shoulder - Lyrics

He's the hand on my shoulder
When I need to know someone cares
He's the hand on my shoulder
Assuring me that He's always there

He's the voice in the silence
That sounds so sweet and so clear
He's the voice in the silence
Telling me that He's always near

So there's no need for me to worry
When things aren't going quite so smooth
'Cause just as long as I put my trust in Him
He will always see me through

He's the light in the darkness
Shining through bright as day
He's the light in the darkness
Guiding me each step of the way

He's the hand on my shoulder
When I need to know someone cares
He's the hand on my shoulder
Assuring me that He's always there

Beautiful Christian Music: Randy Stonehill -Beyond The Veil

The Music Only Video Follows The Commentary Below

1 Peter 4:12-19 - New International Version (NIV)

Suffering for Being a Christian

12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on
you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.

13 But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so
that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for
the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.

15 If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind
of criminal, or even as a meddler.

16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise
God that you bear that name.

17 For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 And,

“If it is hard for the righteous to be saved,
what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”[a]

19 So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

-----------------------------------------

Hi!

In the scripture above, Peter writes about "suffering for being a Christian" and compares it to being like a "fiery ordeal" that comes upon us" leaving us feeling as though as if "something strange" is happening.

King David's cries to the Lord recorded in Psalms show us that even a "man after God's own heart" can wonder about the troubling ordeals he faced.

Knowing these times, are nothing but a moment when compared to a glorious eternal life with God in heaven can help us, and as God says in Revelation 21:4: ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Nevertheless, there are periods on this earth when our journey can be so strange, painful and confusing.  When we struggle to pray wondering if we are being heard.  When things can seems so endlessly dark.  When illness invades our lives and we search for healing and some kind of meaning to make it all make sense.

Christian artist Randy Stonehill wrote a beautiful song that expresses, as David did over 3,000 years ago, that we can often find our faith mixed with confusion as we journey through this life.

In his song, called "Beyond The Veil," Stonehill acknowledges this dichotomy, while also giving a clear expression to knowing that now we can only see in a mirror dimly, but someday we will see Him face to face!

(1 Corinthians 13:12)

With that in mind, no matter what you are going through, I hope and pray that this song will speak to your heart and Bless you!

Thank you for stopping by!

(Lyrics below)

BEYOND THE VEIL

The fiber of this life is paper thin
A spider's web can be torn by a shift in the wind
And the mirror pool is shattered when you toss a pebble in

CHORUS:
And I'm not afraid to admit that I'm afraid
Bewildered by the great and the terrible way we're made
Oh that my eyes could shed these scales
I can almost make out the shape of a face
Just beyond the veil

Questions crowd my heart and will not pass
My prayers are lost in silence and the sky is like brass
But I'll stay on my knees until my answer comes at last

CHORUS

BRIDGE:
Closer to the flame
We drink our cup of pain
And it burns us to the bone
In the fire we find a strength
Greater than our own
Than our own

Blessed Worship Music: Hallelujah Praise The Lamb - Joseph Larson

Video/Music Follows Commentary Below

Video Capture: Joseph Larson - Hallelujah Praise The Lamb
Video Capture:  Joseph Larson - Hallelujah Praise The Lamb

Hi!

This morning I thought I'd post a beautiful version of the Worship song:  "Hallelujah Praise The Lamb" sung by Joseph Larson with the Jimmy Swaggart Ministries Band.

It's a wonderful song of Praise, written by a teenage girl (see link below), and is delivered reverently and skillfully by Larson and the Praise Team.

Video Capture: Joseph Larson - Hallelujah Praise The Lamb
Video Capture:  Joseph Larson - Hallelujah Praise The Lamb

So who is the Lamb Of God?  http://www.gotquestions.org/Jesus-Lamb-of-God.html

Quoting from that page:  "When Jesus is called the Lamb of God in John 1:29 and John 1:36, it is referring to Him as the perfect and ultimate sacrifice for sin. In order to understand who Christ was and what He did, we must begin with the Old Testament, which contains prophecies concerning the coming of Christ as a “guilt offering” (Isaiah 53:10). In fact, the whole sacrificial system established by God in the Old Testament set the stage for the coming of Jesus Christ, who is the perfect sacrifice God would provide as atonement for the sins of His people (Romans 8:3; Hebrews 10)."

------------------------------------------

The lyrics are posted below the video, and and you can learn more about how it was written by following this link:

http://staugustine.com/living/religion/2015-08-28/story-behind-song-hallelujah-praise-lamb

------------------------------------------

I hope your Spirit will be lifted as you listen to this awesome Worship song

God Bless!!

Hallelujah Praise The Lamb - Lyrics

From the moment man first disobeyed the Father
We were then held captive by our sin
The law of God demanded a sacrifice
Restoring to Himself His own again

So the Lamb,
His only Son was freely offered
Atonement for our sins forever made
The innocent and holy still God and God only
Would ransom and redeems us back again

Hallelujah Praise the Lamb
Hallelujah Praise the Lamb
My heart sings his Praise again
Hallelujah Praise the Lamb

So to the cross they carried him
With all our guilt and all our sin
The lamb of God was slain for our transgressions
And on the cross those nail pierced hands
Reached up to God and down to man
And just as if I'd never sinned
He took me in his arms
Embracing me He willingly forgave

For mercy, grace, and love that knows no bounds
Though guilty and condemned I now am free
Forever I'm forgiven for Christ the Lord is risen
And risen with Him we shall one day be

Oh, Hallelujah Praise the Lamb
Hallelujah Praise the Lamb
My heart sings his Praise again
Hallelujah Praise the Lamb

Hallelujah Praise the Lamb
Hallelujah Praise the Lamb
My heart sings His Praise again
Hallelujah Praise the Lamb

Hallelujah Praise the Lamb
My heart sings his Praise again
Hallelujah Praise the Lamb
Praise the Lamb

Job 38:4-11 - New International Version (NIV)

The Lord Speaks

38 Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm. He said:

“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?
    Tell me, if you understand.
Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!
Who stretched a measuring line across it?
On what were its footings set,
    or who laid its cornerstone—
while the morning stars sang together
and all the angels[a] shouted for joy?

“Who shut up the sea behind doors
when it burst forth from the womb,
when I made the clouds its garment
and wrapped it in thick darkness,
10 when I fixed limits for it
and set its doors and bars in place,
11 when I said, ‘This far you may come and no farther;
here is where your proud waves halt’?

-------------------------------------------------

Just below you'll find an embedded video of "Redeemer" sung by Nicole C Mullen.

It's a beautiful song with inspired lyrics, and I pray it will Bless you and give you Peace!

(lyrics under video)

"Redeemer"

Who taught the sun
Where to stand in the morning
And who told the ocean
You can only come this far
And who showed the moon
Where to hide till evening
Whose words alone can
Catch a falling star

Well I know my Redeemer lives
I know my Redeemer lives
All of creation testifies
This life within me cries
I know my Redeemer lives
Yeah

The very same God
That spins things in orbit
Runs to the weary
The worn and the weak
And the same gentle hands
That hold me when I'm broken
They conquer death to bring me victory

Now I know my Redeemer lives
I know my Redeemer lives
Let all creation testify
Let this life within me cry
I know my Redeemer

He lives to take away my shame
And He lives forever I'll proclaim
That the payment for my sin
Was the precious life He gave
But now He's alive and there's an empty grave

And I know my Redeemer, He lives
I know my Redeemer lives
Let all creation testify
Let this life within me cry

I know my Redeemer
I know my Redeemer lives
I know my Redeemer lives
I know that, I know that, I know that, I know that, I know
I know my Redeemer lives
(Because He lives I can face tomorrow)
He lives, I know, I know, I know.
He lives
(I spoke with Him this morning.)

He lives.
(The tomb is empty)
He lives.
(I've got to tell everybody)

Hello!

I listened to "Revelation Song" by Phillips,Craig And Dean recently...and think it is beautiful.

The video someone did to accompany it is pretty moving too!

Hope you will feel the same way!

"Revelation Song"

Worthy is the
Lamb who was slain
Holy, Holy, is He
Sing a new song, to Him who sits on
Heaven's Mercy Seat
[Repeat]

Chorus:

Holy, Holy, Holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Who was, and is, and is to come
With all creation I sing:
Praise to the King of Kings!
You are my everything,
And I will adore You

Clothed in rainbows, of living color
Flashes of lightning, rolls of thunder
Blessing and honor, strength and
Glory and power be
To You the Only Wise King

[Chorus]

Holy, Holy,
You are Holy

Filled with wonder
Awestruck wonder
At the mention of Your Name
Jesus, Your Name is Power
Breath, and Living Water
Such a marvelous mystery

[Chorus]

Hello,

I found this "Messianic Jewish" song, Psalm 23 by Ted Pearce a long time ago.  (find the "music-only" video below)

I got as far as embedding the video into this blog post...and creating a title for it...but it's langished as a "draft" for quite a while.

Today, I was going through old blog posts and opened this one up to remind myself what the song was.

After hearing it again...I wondered...what's taken me so long to finally publish this??!!

The song and music are peaceful and gentle, and the lyrics are taken straight from the ESV version of Psalm 23.

I hope you will give it a listen and be as Blessed as I am by it!

Thank you for stopping by!

May God RICHLY Bless you!

Christian Praise Music: Sing Your Praise To The Lord - Amy Grant

Hi!

I had the most amazing dream the other day.  It was a long epic...and I was going from place to place and surrounded by various people.

At one point I was at some kind of Christian retreat...and I entered a room where  with a few people in it...and older woman was playing piano and singing...doing both beautifully and skillfully.

She was playing some great gospel song...it was so upbeat and happy...kinda a southern gospel boogie...and she was praising God!

Although I don't remember what song it was now...in the dream I joined in and sang with all my being.

Soon a man took a microphone and said, "Some of you are already in the Spirit....", and encouraged others to join in.

I realized then how happy and at peace I was.

I wish more Christian music was like that!!

Let Everything that has breath Praise the Lord - Psalm 150:6 - Photo: Jephyr

Back to the real world:  That kind of music has been going through my head...and the other day the melody and lyrics from Amy Grant's "Sing Your Praise To The Lord" was going through my mind.

Interesting...because I hadn't heard it in MANY years!

It's such a happy, joyful song...praising God.

If you haven't heard it I hope you'll check out the video below...or if you have...maybe it's time to refresh your memory...and YOUR spirit.

The video is "music only", so I've added the lyrics below the video...so you can join in if you want to.

(There's an approximately 1 minute 10 second piano instrumental intro before the vocals start)

[Chorus:]
Sing your praise to the Lord
Come on everybody
Stand up and sing one more Hallelujah
Give your praise to the Lord
I can never tell you
Just how much good that it's
Gonna do you...just to

[Chorus]

Sing anew
The song your heart learned to sing
When He first gave His life to you
The life goes on and so must the song
You gotta sing again
The song born in your soul
When you first gave your heart to Him
Sing His praises once more

[Chorus]

Sing aloud
The song that someone is dying to hear,
Down in the madd'ning crowd
As you once were before you heard the song
You gotta let them know
The truth is alive to shine upon the way
So maybe they can go
Sing your praises once more

[Chorus]

Let the name of the Lord be praised,
Both for now and evermore,
Praise him, oh, you servants
Give your

[Chorus]

Sing, sing sing
Come on
Sing, sing, sing,
I can hear you now
Sing, sing, sing

Blessed Christian Music: Parable "A Prayer"

Hi!

Many, many moons ago I had an LP by a band called Parable called Illustrations.

l always thought a song on that album called, "A Prayer", was beautiful and uplifting.

As the internet has grown it's been great to go back and find that people are starting to upload those great old songs on YouTube and elsewhere.

So, I was very happy to find that song recently on YouTube and have posted it below with lyrics underneath it.

Hope you will give it a listen and feel Blessed by it!

Parable - “A Prayer” - Lyrics
Words and Music by John Wickham

Fill me with your Love,

The Promise of the Father,

And help me know your Voice,

That I may hear no other,

Keep me in your Will,

That I may do Your pleasure,

And make my heart be still,

And know that I’m Your treasure,

Oh, Lord, Come to me,

And lead that I may follow,

And with each step I take,

I’ll come to You,
