Hi!

I just saw a truly inspiring video of a young Brazilian boy singing Amazing Grace on YouTube.

The video's description does a fine job of elaborating—so I'll just copy and paste that here without editing it (other than adding paragraphs to make it easier to read):

"Jose Antonio "Jotta A" Viana is a seventh grader, born and brought up in a Pentecostal family. His Dad is a Pastor of a local Assemblies of God church in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Here, he is singing the song of Chris Tomlin's version of Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone).

Jotta is simply talented and most of all anointed. He has turned christian songs into a new breed and heights that are now becoming more and more popular even to the unbelievers. He is really a new singing sensation!

He is 13 years old now.and also a most anointed child Gospel singer in the whole world.  His mispronunciation of some of the English words and the added verses, which were not in the original version, are beautiful additions—make it even more appealing. His Portuguese accent makes it sound even sweeter.

May this Video be an inspiration/ motivation to our kids. Please share this video with your Kids & friends.

Thanks for watching & God Bless You."

PS:  I did a search looking for a video with better image quality...but the sound wasn't as good on those.  : )

AWESOME Gospel music! You Can't Measure God's Love - The Canton Spirituals

Video embedded below commentary

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Job+11%3A7-9&version=NIV

Hi!

I spent a lot of time yesterday looking for a great song to post here—and after a lot of fruitless searching I gave up.

Later in the evening I opened a "video" folder on my computer and saw an mp3 of the song I'll post today.

I didn't remember it—but when I gave it a spin then—I immediately knew I'd found what I was looking for!

(Jesus said, "Seek and you will find...." Matthew 7:7

: )

You Can't Measure God's Love by Harvey "Pop" Watkins Sr and the The Canton Spirituals, is  a wonderful testimony of the story of Jesus laying His life down on the cross—and the Power of Him rising again—and the wonderful Mercy and Grace He purchased by His death and resurrection!

Although they are fairly simple—I've transcribed the lyrics and added them below the video—so if you'd like you can follow or sing along.

I pray this song Blesses you and reminds you of the wonderful Grace and Mercy we can find through faith in Jesus.

(Please see notes on how to be saved at the bottom of this post)

You can't measure God's Love - Lyrics

You can't measure God's Love,

He left His home in Glory,
And He came here, and He died, Y'all,

He died for the sin, sick and the lost,
Jesus! Jesus paid the cost!

(That's why I tell y'all that)

You can't measure God's Love,

(Some of y'all don't know what I'm singing about)

They led Him, From hall to hall,
And they led Him up Calvary's Hill,
And they hung Him, (didn't they do that)
Out on the rugged cross,
He just died there for the sin, sick and the lost,

(That's why I tell y'all that)

You can't measure God's Love,

(I don't want to sing it too long)

(This is what they did)

They took Him down from the cross,
And they laid Him, (Didn't they do that, y'all)
Down in Joseph's new tomb, (Listen y'all, I'm glad of this)
Right on a Sunday mornin', He got up,
I say He got up, Somebody say I know He got up,
Jesus got up, Oh, He got up, Y'all
Jesus got up, Jesus got up, Jesus got up, < repeats

I want to tell you what He did when He got up

He said all Power is right here in my hand,
He could speak, and man would lay down and die,
He could speak, And the same man will live again,
(Y'all don't hear me but...)

I know, (He got up) < repeats

You can't measure God's Love

Softly And Tenderly - Hugh P & Maria

Hi!

I hope you are having wonderful Sunday!

-----------------------------

According to the website Timeless Truths, the old hymn Softly and Tenderly was first published in 1880—but like so many of those old hymns—there is a gentle truth that clearly resonates from it.

This version (as found in the video below) is by a father and daughter duo, Hugh P. and Maria Doherty, from Donegal, Ireland.

Maria is a beautiful young woman and sings with a soft, but powerful spirit—with a lovely wisp of an Irish brogue—and is accompanied by her awesome Da' on guitar and vocal harmonies.

It's my prayer that you will be Blessed by their music and feel the Lord Jesus gently calling you to turn to him!

The lyrics are posted just below the video.

Softly And Tenderly - Lyrics

Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling,
    Calling for you and for me;
See, on the portals, He’s waiting and watching,
Watching for you and for me.

        Come home, come home,
       You who are weary, come home;
        Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling,
        Calling, O sinner, come home!

Oh, for the wonderful love He has promised,
Promised for you and for me!
Though we have sinned, He has mercy and pardon,
Pardon for you and for me.

John the Revelator by Curtis Stigers & The Forest Rangers

Hello!

Hope you are having a GREAT start to your 2018!  It's hard to believe we are over a month in already!

-------------------

Back in the day—I spent time as a guitarist and singer playing music in restaurants, coffee houses, and bars—and loved the sound of the blues—and played a lot of it in solo shows and with the bands I was in.

My tastes in music have changed a lot since then—and I much prefer Gospel music today—but love it when those tastes combine.

This morning I heard John the Revelator by Curtis Stigers & The Forest Rangers—a song used on a TV show (I've never seen) called Sons of Anarchy.

As I've written in the past—God can use anything to speak about Himself—and in this case I LOVE that this old blues song talks about the resurrection of Jesus, John—the writer of the Bible's Book Of Revelation, the 12 disciples of Jesus, as well as Mary and Martha, and even the first man—Adam—in a real way with without any apologies.

Plus—I just love the bluesy feel of the entire track.  : )

I hope you'll give this one a listen—and that it will Bless you and fill your heart with God's LOVE!

Lyrics are included in the video—and also embedded below

John the Revelator - Lyrics

Who's that writin'? John the Revelator
Who's that writin'? John the Revelator
Who's that writin'? John the Revelator
Wrote the book of the seven seals

You know God walked down in the cool of the day
Called Adam by his name
But he refused to answer
Because he was naked and ashamed

Tell me who's that writin'? John the Revelator
Who's that writin'? John the Revelator
Who's that writin'? John the Revelator
Wrote the book of the seven seals

Now—Christ had twelve apostles
And three he led away
He said, "Watch with me one hour,
While I go yonder and pray."

Tell me who's that writin'? John the Revelator
Who's that writin'? John the Revelator
Tell me who's that writin'? John the Revelator
Wrote the book of the seven seals

Well, Christ rose on Easter morning!
Mary and Martha came down to see
He said, "Go tell my disciples—
Meet me in Galilee."

Tell me who's that writin'? John the Revelator
Who's that writin'? John the Revelator
Tell me who's that writin'? John the Revelator
Wrote the book of the seven seals

Tell me who's that writin'? John the Revelator
Tell me who's that writin'? John the Revelator
Who's that writin'? John the Revelator
Wrote the book of the seven seals

God walked down in the cool of the day
Called Adam by his name
He refused to answer
Because he was naked and ashamed

Tell me who's that writin'? John the Revelator
Tell me who's that writin'? John the Revelator
Who's that writin'? John the Revelator
Wrote the book of the seven seals

Tell me who's that writin'? John the Revelator
Tell me who's that writin'? John the Revelator
Who's that writin'? John the Revelator
Wrote the book of the seven seals
