Welcome!

I posted here in August of 2017 about a radio program here in Phoenix, Arizona:

Ms D Soul Hour of Power Gospel Show simulcast on KXEG 1280 AM & 96.1FM.

I haven't had a chance to listen much since then but earlier this morning happened upon a YouTube upload of a recent show of hers.

She played a couple of tracks from the Rev Elijah Baker, Sr, and I loved the second one:

I Never Had It So Good

I love the Soul-Gospel feel, the guitars — and the vocals and backing vocals are sooooo tasty!

It Blesses me so much to listen to this kind of music.

Please give it a spin - I'll bet you'll agree!  : )

Lyrics are posted below.

I Never Had It So Good - Lyrics

I never had it so good,
I never had it so good,

I remember, Oh! Lordy,
When I didn't have a dime,

I remember, Oh! Lordy,
I didn't have shoes on my feet,

But I found a man named named Jesus,
And Jesus came to my rescue,
(That's why we come to church today)

I never had it so good,
I never had it so good,

Repeats

(Let me tell you something - hey)

I used to hear my mother,
Way back down in Louisiana,
She'll be in the kitchen, Yeah!
Cooking up my meal,
She would steal away,
Oh, by herself,
She would go down,
Go down on her knees,
And I could hear her say,

Thank you, Jesus,
Thank you Lord,
Thank you, Jesus,
Thank you Lord!

Repeats

Thanks so much for stopping by!

May God Richly Bless you!

Jesus is LORD!

Seek Him!

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
