I Thank You - The Alabama Gurlz

Hello Brothers and Sisters,

God is so Good—I pray you are experiencing His Love and Grace today!

Back in March of this year, I found some videos by the Alabama Gurlz, a group fronted by four powerful female vocalists—along with their very talented band

Below, you'll find their live praise and worship performance of, I Thank You.

I love their exuberant thanksgiving to our Lord—that'd make even the staid little ol' lady who sits quietly on the third row of Saint Joyless Community Church every week—tap her toes inside her sensible, black leather granny shoes.  ← without moving anything else—because that wouldn't be "proper."

😊

As you listen, may God Richly Bless you and fill you to over-flowing with his Comfort, Love, Healing, and Peace!

I Thank You - Lyrics

Spoken:  Put your hands together

Oh! Lord, I thank you
For the chance to get right!
Before the devil turned my day into might

I won't stop 'til I get it together
No matter the storm—No matter the weather

Repeats

Anybody thank the Lord?
Let me see your hands!

I thank you!
You changed my life!

Repeats with variations

Thank You Jesus (That's What He's Done) - Lyrics

Well, He woke me up this morning
And started me on my way
Gave me Grace and Strength
Just to see another day
And with each new day
Brand new Mercies I see
I'm telling you that's what the Lord has done for me

For the many ways that You've made
(Thank you Jesus)
Keeping me day by day I wanna say
(Thank you, Jesus)
Tell do you really mind if I testify
(Thank you, Jesus)
About the Lord being my full supply
(Thank you, Jesus)

I'm telling you He's done so much for me, and I can't tell it all
That's how good He is to me
And when I think of the Blessings bestowed upon me
I have no choice
He's gonna get my praises

Get get Jesus on the main line
Tell him what I want
Call him up and tell him
Exactly what I want
Just tell him I'm not only asking, I'm trusting for what I want
While I got him on the line, why don't you get what you want

Anybody else wanna talk to the Master?
(Thank you, Jesus)
I really wanna say Lord
(Thank you, Jesus)
Somebody waving their hand just to say, Lord
(Thank you, Jesus)
All I really wanna say is thank you, Lord
(Thank you, Jesus)

He's done so much for me, and I can't tell it all
Never will be able to tell it all
That's how good He is to me
And when I think of the Blessings bestowed upon me
I have no choice
He's gonna get my praises

He's done so much for me, and I can't tell it all
Cannot tell it all
That's how good he is to me
And when I think of the blessings bestowed upon me
I have no choice
He's gonna get my praises

Truly if I had ten thousand
(Thank you, Jesus)
Still wouldn't be enough to tell you
(Thank you, Jesus)
From the Mercies that You give to the Grace
(Thank you, Jesus)
That's why I wanna say thank You
(Thank you, Jesus)

Mmmmm thank You
(Thank you, Jesus)
Ooooooooo thank You
(Thank you, Jesus)
From the Love
You're Good
From the Light
You're Great
(Thank you, Jesus)
From my going out to my coming in I wanna say
(Thank you, Jesus)

You have provided everything for me
(That's what He's done)
You've been my Healer
(That's what He's done)
That's what He's done for me
You've been my Shelter
Cause You've done that for me
And I want to praise you, Lord
(That's what He's done)

Oh, that's what He's done for me
What You've done for me and I say 'oh
(That's what He's done)
When I think of all that He's done for me
It makes me wanna praise you Lord
For all You've done for me
(That's what He's done)
That's what You've done for me, help me
(Oh' that's what He's done)
I wanna say
(Oh, that's what He's done
Oh, what You've done for me
I never shall forget what You've done for me

Zach Williams and Dolly Parton – There Was Jesus

Welcome,

Today's "music-only" video comes from Zach Williams and Dolly Parton with their song, There Was Jesus.

The lyrics address the winding road that many find themselves on—searching through all that the world offers—finding only brokenness and emptiness without Jesus as Lord.

I pray no matter where you are at on your journey—that this music will Bless you and fill you to overflowing with the Love, Light, Comfort, Healing, Peace, and Blessings of truly knowing Jesus as Lord and Savior.

There Was Jesus - Lyrics

Every time I try to make it on my own
Every time I try to stand, I start to fall
And all those lonely roads that I have traveled on
There was Jesus

When the life I built came crashing to the ground
When the friends I had were nowhere to be found
I couldn't see it then but I can see it now
There was Jesus

In the waiting, in the searching
In the healing, in the hurting
Like a blessing buried in the broken pieces
Every minute, every moment
Where I've been or where I'm going
Even when I didn't know it
Or couldn't see it
There was Jesus

For this man who needs amazing kind of grace
For forgiveness and a price I couldn't pay
I'm not perfect so I thank God every day
There was Jesus
There was Jesus

In the waiting, in the searching
In the healing, in the hurting
Like a blessing buried in the broken pieces
Every minute, every moment
Where I've been or where I'm going
Even when I didn't know it
Or couldn't see it

There was Jesus
On the mountains
In the valleys
There was Jesus
In the shadows
Of the alleys

There was Jesus
In the fire, in the flood
There was Jesus
Always is and always was, oh

No, I never walk alone
Never walk alone
You're always there

In the waiting, in the searching
In the healing, in the hurting
Like a blessing buried in the broken pieces
Every minute, every moment
Where I've been or where I'm going
Even when I didn't know it
Or couldn't see it
There was Jesus

There was Jesus
There was Jesus
There was Jesus

The Afters - Well Done - Lyric Video

Today you'll find the beautiful song Well Done by the The Afters—an American Christian band who first began performing in Texas coffee houses sometime around the year 2000.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Afters

Though this song was uploaded to YouTube in August of 2018—it only just crossed my radar when I heard it one day in my car and liked it enough to look for it on-line when I got home.

I discovered that in addition to a beautiful melody, vocals and music track—the lyrics speak to that longing each Christian feels for our Eternal home in Heaven with Jesus—free from pain and sorrow—and hearing Him say to us, "Well Done."

Well Done - Lyrics

What will it be like when my pain is gone
And all the worries of this world just fade away?
What will it be like when You call my name
And that moment when I see You face to face?

I'm waiting my whole life to hear You say

Well done, well done
My good and faithful one
Welcome to the place where you belong
Well done, well done
My beloved child
You have run the race and now you're home
Welcome to the place where you belong

What will it be like when tears are washed away
And every broken thing will finally be made whole?
What will it be like when I come into Your glory
Standing in the presence of a love so beautiful?

I'm waiting my whole life for that day
I will live my life to hear You say

Well done, well done
My good and faithful one
Welcome to the place where you belong
Well done, well done
My beloved child
You have run the race and now you're home
Welcome to the place where you belong

What will it be like when I hear that sound?
All of heaven's angels crying out:

Singing Holy, Holy, Holy are You, Lord

Waiting my whole life for that day
Until then I'll live to hear You say

Well done, well done
My good and faithful one
Welcome to the place where you belong
Well done, well done
My beloved child
You have run the race and now you're home
Welcome to the place where you belong

Beautiful Christian Music: Wood and Nails - Audrey Assad & Josh Garrels - Live

Hi brothers and sisters,

Today you'll find an absolutely beautiful song/live video from The Porter's Gate Worship Project Vol 1—featuring the voices of Audrey Assad & Josh Garrels.
.
I find its melody lyrics about the love of our Savior and Lord Jesus very moving—and it speaks to the heart of true believers who long to fellowship and be with Him—and serve Him with our lives, work, and praise.

Matthew 5:15-16
 ---------------------------------

The video's description adds this information about the song:

In June (2017), musicians, pastors, writers, and scholars from around the country gathered together in NYC to collaborate on a series of  worship songs for a new worship record themed around faith and vocation. This song was originally submitted to our songwriting contest by Keith Watts. Additional lyrics and melody by Isaac Wardell and Madison Cunningham.

-------------------------

I pray this music will resonate with you as well—and speak to heart about the unending love our beautiful Lord and Messiah Jesus has for us—and lead you into an ever deeper walk with Him!

Wood and Nails - Lyrics

O humble carpenter, down on Your hands and knees
Look on Your handiwork and build a house
So You may dwell in me
So You may dwell in me

The work was done with nothing but
Wood and nails in Your scar-borne hands
O show me how to work and praise
Trusting that I am Your instrument

O loving laborer with the sweat upon Your face
Oh, build a table that I too may join You
In the Father's place
Oh, in the Father's place

The work was done with nothing but
Wood and nails in Your scar-borne hands
O show me how to work and praise
Trusting that I am Your instrument

[Interlude]

The kingdom's come and built upon
Wood and nails gripped with joyfulness
Oh, send me out, within Your ways
Knowing that the task is finished

The dead will rise and give You praise
Wood and nails will not hold them down
These wooden tombs, we'll break them soon
And fashion them into flower beds

The curse is done, the battle won
Swords bent down into plowshares
Your scar-borne hands, we'll join with them
Serving at the table You've prepared

[Interlude]

O humble carpenter

GOSPEL Music: I Will Trust In The Lord - Rev. Alphonso Bowens

Hello Christian family,

All around the world—week after week—churches and Christian gatherings are filled with believers worshiping the Lord Jesus.

Talented singers, musicians, and preachers who may never be known the world's media or become household names, labor and share their gifts in those smaller local and regional gatherings.

------------------------------

Though many have likely heard of the Rev. Alphonso Bowens—I was completely unaware of him until I saw the video (posted below) of him leading I Will Trust In The Lord at a small church in 2009.

Bowens was backed by an equally gifted band, and a congregation joining in with shouts, and praise—and raising their voices in in encouragement to one another to trust in the Lord.

------------------------------

Our Christian journey through life can often be challenging—so I pray this uplifting Gospel music will encourage you to continue to trust in our beautiful risen Savior, Jesus the Messiah, THE King of Kings and Lord of lords!

I Will Trust In The Lord - Lyrics

I will trust in the Lord
I will trust in the Lord
I will trust in the Lord until I die

I am gonna treat everybody right
I'm gonna treat everybody right
I'm gonna treat everybody right until I die

I'm gonna stay on the battlefield
I'm gonna stay on the battlefield
I'm gonna stay on the battlefield until I die

I used to here my grandmomma say

Who is goin' down in the grave with me
Who is goin' down in the grave with me
Who is goin' down in the grave when I die

She'll say

Jesus is goin' down in the grave with me
Jesus is goin' down in the grave with me
Jesus is goin' down in the grave with me when I die

Ain't He alright?
How many gonna trust in Him?
Shake somebody's hand and say
I'm gonna trust in Him

No matter what goes on
I'm gonna trust in the Lord
I don't what Obama got planned for tomorrow
But I sure know Who holds tomorrow
Anybody gonna trust in Him
Can you wave your hands and say no mater how hard it gets

I'm gonna trust in Him
