Awesome Gospel Music: Selah - I Got Saved

Selah - I Got Saved - From Unbreakable

In 2017, the Christian vocal group Selah released their cover of the song I Got Saved from their "Unbreakable" CD.

The song's lyrics testify to the time in each Christians life, when the full realization of the wonderful and immeasurable gift of abundant Grace, Mercy, Forgiveness, and Love we are freely given by our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Risen King!

Below, you'll find a "music-only" video of the song.  Lyrics are both embedded in the video — and included under it as well.

As you listen, I pray God will pour His Spirit into your heart and life — and fill you with the knowledge of His abundant Mercy, Grace, and Love.

I Got Saved - Lyrics

There is a river of gladness
That pours from Emmanuel’s veins
This sinner was plunged
Beneath the flood and got saved

Since then I walk in forgiveness
All of my guilt was erased
The chains of the past
Are broken at last I got saved
Oh! I got saved

I’m undone by the mercy of Jesus
I’m undone by the goodness of the Lord
I’m restored and made right
He got a hold of my life
I’ve got Jesus
How could I want more!

I’ve received nothing but goodness
I’ve tested and tasted Your grace
I was so lost 'til I fell at the cross
And got saved
Oh! I got saved

I’m undone by the mercy of Jesus
I’m undone by the goodness of the Lord
I’m restored and made right
He got a hold of my life
I’ve got Jesus
How could I want more!
Bridge:

The love of God gave me His pardon
The love of God won’t let me stay the same
The love of God pulls me up higher
His will is stronger
That’s why I got saved

I’m undone by the mercy of Jesus
I’m undone by the goodness of the Lord
I’m restored and made right
He got a hold of my life
I’ve got Jesus
How could I want more!

I’ve got Jesus
How could I want more!

No place

No one else will do

Zach Williams and Dolly Parton – There Was Jesus

Welcome,

Today's "music-only" video comes from Zach Williams and Dolly Parton with their song, There Was Jesus.

The lyrics address the winding road that many find themselves on—searching through all that the world offers—finding only brokenness and emptiness without Jesus as Lord.

I pray no matter where you are at on your journey—that this music will Bless you and fill you to overflowing with the Love, Light, Comfort, Healing, Peace, and Blessings of truly knowing Jesus as Lord and Savior.

There Was Jesus - Lyrics

Every time I try to make it on my own
Every time I try to stand, I start to fall
And all those lonely roads that I have traveled on
There was Jesus

When the life I built came crashing to the ground
When the friends I had were nowhere to be found
I couldn't see it then but I can see it now
There was Jesus

In the waiting, in the searching
In the healing, in the hurting
Like a blessing buried in the broken pieces
Every minute, every moment
Where I've been or where I'm going
Even when I didn't know it
Or couldn't see it
There was Jesus

For this man who needs amazing kind of grace
For forgiveness and a price I couldn't pay
I'm not perfect so I thank God every day
There was Jesus
There was Jesus

In the waiting, in the searching
In the healing, in the hurting
Like a blessing buried in the broken pieces
Every minute, every moment
Where I've been or where I'm going
Even when I didn't know it
Or couldn't see it

There was Jesus
On the mountains
In the valleys
There was Jesus
In the shadows
Of the alleys

There was Jesus
In the fire, in the flood
There was Jesus
Always is and always was, oh

No, I never walk alone
Never walk alone
You're always there

In the waiting, in the searching
In the healing, in the hurting
Like a blessing buried in the broken pieces
Every minute, every moment
Where I've been or where I'm going
Even when I didn't know it
Or couldn't see it
There was Jesus

There was Jesus
There was Jesus
There was Jesus

The Afters - Well Done - Lyric Video

Today you'll find the beautiful song Well Done by the The Afters—an American Christian band who first began performing in Texas coffee houses sometime around the year 2000.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Afters

Though this song was uploaded to YouTube in August of 2018—it only just crossed my radar when I heard it one day in my car and liked it enough to look for it on-line when I got home.

I discovered that in addition to a beautiful melody, vocals and music track—the lyrics speak to that longing each Christian feels for our Eternal home in Heaven with Jesus—free from pain and sorrow—and hearing Him say to us, "Well Done."

Well Done - Lyrics

What will it be like when my pain is gone
And all the worries of this world just fade away?
What will it be like when You call my name
And that moment when I see You face to face?

I'm waiting my whole life to hear You say

Well done, well done
My good and faithful one
Welcome to the place where you belong
Well done, well done
My beloved child
You have run the race and now you're home
Welcome to the place where you belong

What will it be like when tears are washed away
And every broken thing will finally be made whole?
What will it be like when I come into Your glory
Standing in the presence of a love so beautiful?

I'm waiting my whole life for that day
I will live my life to hear You say

Well done, well done
My good and faithful one
Welcome to the place where you belong
Well done, well done
My beloved child
You have run the race and now you're home
Welcome to the place where you belong

What will it be like when I hear that sound?
All of heaven's angels crying out:

Singing Holy, Holy, Holy are You, Lord

Waiting my whole life for that day
Until then I'll live to hear You say

Well done, well done
My good and faithful one
Welcome to the place where you belong
Well done, well done
My beloved child
You have run the race and now you're home
Welcome to the place where you belong

With Lifted Hands - Lyrics

I have tasted
All that this world has to offer
The here and gone that leaves you wanting more
But can't satisfy

Father, forgive me for taking so long to see
That You're all I need

With every heartbeat in my chest
Lord, I surrender all that I have
The days yet to come, the days in the past
I'm giving You all I am
With lifted hands, with lifted hands

You show me mercy
When I've done nothing to deserve it
You see the best in me beneath the dust
Because that's how You love, that's how You love

You rush through my veins
I'm wrecked and I'm changed and
My soul will sing

With every heartbeat in my chest
Lord, I surrender all that I have
The days yet to come, the days in the past
I'm giving You all I am
With lifted hands, with lifted hands

Heaven or grave
There is no place
I can go to escape
Your love,

So with every heartbeat in my chest
Lord, I surrender all that I have
The days yet to come and the days in the past
I'm giving You all, all that I am
I'm giving You all, all that I am
With lifted hands, with lifted hands
With lifted hands, with lifted hands

Everlasting God - Lincoln Brewster

Hi,

Recently. I was driving in my car when Everlasting God, by Lincoln Brewster, came on the radio.

I've heard it many times before—but dropped in on it somewhere in the middle—and was enjoying hearing it with "fresh" ears—and really liked the guitar solo—and THEN was very moved when the little child reads from Isaiah 40:28-31 at the end!

I pray you will also be Blessed as you listen—and God will speak His abundant Mercy, Grace, and Love into your life and heart!

Everlasting God - Lyrics

Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
Wait upon the Lord, we will wait upon the Lord
Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
Wait upon the Lord, we will wait upon the Lord

Our God, You reign forever
Our hope, our strong deliverer

You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
You do not faint
You won't grow weary
You're the defender of the weak
You comfort those in need
You lift us up on wings like eagles

Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
Wait upon the Lord, we will wait upon the Lord
Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
Wait upon the Lord, we will wait upon the Lord

Our God, You reign forever
Our hope, our strong deliverer.

You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
You do not faint
You won't grow weary
You're the defender of the weak
You comfort those in need
You lift us up on wings like eagles

You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
The everlasting God
The everlasting...

Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
Wait upon the Lord, we will wait upon the Lord
Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
Wait upon the Lord, we will wait upon the Lord

[child speaking]

The Lord is the everlasting God
The creator of all the Earth
He never grows weak or weary
No one can measure the depths of His understanding
He gives power to the weak, and strength to the powerless
Even youths will become weak and tired
And young men will fall in exhaustion
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength
They will soar high on wings like eagles
They will run and not grow weary
They will walk and not faint

Beautiful Russian Orthodox Good Friday Service & Music - Bless the Lord, O My Soul

Video Below

---------------------

Happy Good Friday brothers and sisters!

If you are new to Christianity—calling the day we remember that Jesus willingly chose to be tortured, insulted, abused, and nailed to a cross where He died—might seem odd.

But this day is also a celebration because through His act of obedience—Jesus fulfilled His purpose in coming to the earth in human form—to offer us the gift of His Grace and Forgiveness through His sinless life, and sacrificial death and resurrection.

As Jesus exclaimed, just before dying—"It is finished"—signifying that His death had forever removed the barrier of sin between those who believe in Him through faith—and our heavenly Father.

So while we might marvel at Jesus' willingness to die in such a horrible way—knowing the terrible suffering that He endured—we are filled with gratitude for the Blessing of His Gift to us—as we celebrate His Goodness and Mercy to us—our risen King and Savior.

Luke 23:33-29 - Painting: Mihály Munkácsy (1844-1900)

---------------------

If you're like me—and have attended more casual western protestant churches—the pageantry of the Eastern Orthodox Holy Friday Service in the video below might seem very unusual.

But I found the absolutely beautiful vocal only music—along with the ornate robes and setting—very moving and an inspiring tribute to Jesus and His wonderful Gift to us.

The video's description on YouTube adds:

“We remember because we love Jesus and hate what happened to him,” he said. “We love him for his words, we love him for his miracles, and we even love him for his suffering and his death.”

Much of the scripture and prayer during the service was sung rather than spoken, another tradition that dates back to ancient times, when there was no way to amplify a speaker’s voice, Nasser said. “You can hear somebody singing better than you can hear somebody speaking,” he said.

---------------------

I pray you will be Blessed by this video—and that God will fill your heart with His wonderful Love—and bring you Comfort, Healing—as you accept His Grace and follow after Him.

Ryan Stevenson - No Matter What

"Music-Only" Video Below

---------------------

Hello,

This Easter week, Christians celebrate Jesus' life and ultimate Gift to us by His sacrifice on the cross.

Mark tells us that before Passover, Jesus entered into Jerusalem riding a colt, and many people spread their cloaks and leafy branches on the road, and shouted Hosanna (a cry of acclamation and adoration) as he rode into the city.

Mark 11:7-10 - Painting: Entry Of Christ Into Jerusalem - Louis Felix Leullier - (1811 – 1882)

This Friday the 19th is "Good Friday"—when we also remember Jesus was insulted and tormented, beaten and scourged, nailed to a cross—and ultimately died there and was buried in an empty tomb.

Thankfully the story doesn't end there—and three days later Jesus rose from the dead—and is now seated at the right hand of God in Heaven!

His Gift to those who believe in him through faith—is abundant Grace, Mercy, Forgiveness, Healing and Eternal Life with Him in Heaven—where He will wipe away every tear from our eyes and there is no pain or sorrow.

Someday soon, every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord!

Philippians 2:5-10

--------------------------------------------------------

Below you'll find a "music-only" video for Ryan Stevenson's song, No Matter What—that speaks to the unfailing love our Heavenly Father has for us—and that we can have Salvation and Grace—if we believe in the Perfect Gift of His only Son, Jesus the Christ.

If you don't already know Him you can learn more about how to start your new life with Jesus below.

No Matter What - Lyrics

A lot of us grew up believing
At any moment we could lose it all
And at the drop of a hat
God might turn his back and move on

A lot of us feel like we blew it
Thinking that we're just too far gone
But I want you to know
There’s still a hope for you now

No matter what you've done
You can't erase His love
Nothing can change it
You’re not separated
No matter what

There’s never been a better time to get honest
There’s never been a better time to get clean
So come as you are
Run to the cross and be free
Oh be free

No matter what you've done
You can't erase His love
Nothing can change it
You’re not separated

No matter where you run
He's always holding on
You're still a daughter
You’re still a son
No matter what

Don't know what you've been taught
Don't know what you’ve been told
All I know is my God
Will never let go of you

And I don't know what you've seen
Don't know what you've been through
All I know is my God
Will never let go of you
He'll never let go

No matter what you've done
You can't erase His love
Nothing can change it
You’re not separated

No matter where you run
He's always holding on
You're still a daughter
You’re still a son
No matter what

You're still a daughter
You’re still a son
No matter what

Healer by Hillsong — And Request For Prayer

Gospel Music Video Below: Healer (with lyrics) — Hillsong

The Raising of the Daughter of Jairus by Jesus — Gabriel Max — 1885

Hello Brothers and Sisters!

If you've visited this blog before you'll know that I mostly share commentary related to music I post, and relevant scripture that generally mirrors or compliments the lyrics of that day's song.

---------------------------------------------

UK Blogger Brenda — whose blog is called Light House Vision — has been faithfully commenting on posts here which has been very encouraging.

Brenda has a heart for reaching others and uses her blog to "share with those who do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour."

After my most recent post (How Great Thou Art - Carrie Underwood and Vince Gill) — Brenda briefly detailed a health issue she is having  — and asked for prayer from me.

She described her health concern this way in her comment:  "I have been going through the worst trial that I have ever had, this time with my joints and now my spine."

*  Please see edit below

Of course I agreed to pray for her — and have been — and also posted this in my reply to her —

Because God is present on-line and communicates to us through His word — I will offer this written prayer from me for you:

Merciful Father in Heaven, we come boldly before you with a petition to heal Brenda's joints and spine. Comfort her and erase any pain associated with this — give her mobility in her spine and joints and repair whatever is causing this issue.

Lord, You knit Brenda together in her mother's womb and know her inside and out — so we place her healing in Your mighty Hands and call upon You our Great Physician to bring Brenda through this trail, and give her complete healing — all for Your Glory!!

In the Mighty name above all names, the soon and coming King of kings and Lord of lords — Jesus the Messiah! Amen!!

---------------------------------------------

I also asked Brenda if I could request prayer from those who visit here.  She agreed.

So dear Christian Brothers and Sisters — please consider agreeing in your prayers for the healing of our sister, Brenda.

Matthew 18:19

During Jesus' earthly ministry — He healed every disease, opened blind eyes, healed the lame and crippled, and even raised people from the dead — and promised that through Him we could also perform miracles in His name:

John 14:12-13
----------------------------------------------

* Edit: I neglected to add something very important to this prayer request for Brenda.

I'll copy and paste her initial reply to my comment asking her if it would be OK to publish her need for prayer — along with a comment she made on her blog when I let her now this post was "live."

"Hi Jephyr, thank you so much for your lovely prayer. Yes, it would be very acceptable to me if you called for prayer, not only for my request but for the Holy Spirit to bring true life into the 'dry bones' of not only physical Israel but also fully into the Spiritual Israel of God - the church. Ezekiel's prophesy is still on-going and we can all be 'signs' and 'portents' as scripture states, and the Spirit will keep us all from backsliding."

"Thank you Jephyr, I am still suffering pain in my right hip and I do absolutely believe it is associated with the children being for signs and portents, and that is one of the main reasons I can not go to the worldly physicians for help. Otherwise that sign would not be there in me, but I believe that it calls me and others to pray for the spirit to come into the 'dry bones' of the church - the Israel of God.
God bless you Jephyr, and you too pray for the church."

Brothers and Sisters — Brenda has a true heart for God — and sees this trial not simply as something that she is experiencing — but also that God is speaking to her (and us) through it:  The pain in her joints also represents the "dry bones" of God's people and our Lord's Church.

So as we all pray for Brenda's healing —  let's also pray for the Lord's Holy Spirit to Flood over each of His children — His Church and Israel — and refresh us with His Strength, Power, and Love!!

Thank you in advance for your prayers — and may God Bless you as you serve Him with your life!

You can read all about Jesus the Savior in the New Testament Bible!

Romans 10:9-10

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Hi!

I've posted several different videos from Jimmy Swaggart's Network SonLife Broadcasting here.

Among my my personal favorites are Joseph Watson — along with the SonLife Band — performing "Didn't I walk On the Water:

And the late Johnny Lee Clary's testimony about his transformation from a hateful Klan member to a Bible believing Christian filled with God's Grace and Love:

Today - you'll find a live performance from Joseph's sister Grace Larson singing a medley:

In The Valley He Restoreth My Soul & How Great Thou Art

I pray as you listen God will Heal you from any infirmities — and fill your heart, mind, and soul with His great Love and Comfort.

Lyrics Below

In The Valley He Restoreth My Soul - Lyrics

When I'm low in spirit,
I cry Lord lift me up,
I want to go higher with Thee,
But the Lord knows I can't live on the Mountain,
So He picked out a valley for me,

He leads me beside still waters,
Somewhere in the valley below,
And He draws me aside,

To be tested and tried,
In the valley He restoreth my soul,

It's as dark as a dungeon,
And the sun seldom shines,
And I question Lord why must this be?
Then He tells me there's strenght in my sorrow,
And there's victory in trials for me,

Chorus

How Great Thou Art - Refrain

Then sings my soul,
My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art!
How great Thou art!
Then sings my soul,
My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art!
How great Thou art!

The 1 hour 25 minute documentary includes incredible footage and photos—some in close-up and/or extreme slow-motion—of hummingbirds and butterflies and many other amazing animals and creations—from odd and beautiful inhabitants from deep in the sea—to the insects and birds of the air—from DNA and molecules—to tiny seeds to towering Sequoias—from lightning and storms—to distant galaxies and stars!

A section filled with photos of the geometric beauty of individual snowflakes and how they are formed is fascinating—as is a segment on thunderstorms.

Best of all—it is more than just a "nature program" and is filled with scripture proclaiming God's love for all of us expressed throughout all of His marvelous creation.
