A Hundred And Forty Four Thousand - Shawn Brown And Da Boyz

Video/Music Below

------------------------

Hi!

Saturday, August 19th I was driving in my car and flipping between Christian radio stations and soon was singing along to some GREAT music coming from Ms D's Gospel Show on KXEG in Phoenix Arizona.

A Screen Capture From Ms D's Page on KXEG's Website

First of all, Ms D has so much energy and enthusiasm — and you can really feel her love for our LORD - so that alone is guaranteed to make you smile.

But the music!

Oh man...the music is AMAZING!  It is seriously fun and spiritually uplifting — and would make even the staid Methodists I grew up with tap their toes.

: )

------------

BTW — you don't have to be in the Phoenix area to hear Ms D's program.  Just go to the KXEG website and you can easily stream it!

Or you can find last week's program on YouTube here:

And she'll be uploading future shows to that channel as well.

If you like what you hear you can support Ms D's ministry by following her Facebook Page, and subscribing to the program's YouTube channel.

Make sure to offer encouragement too — by commenting and giving her a thumbs up!

; )

------------

Last weekend, I heard one song in particular that caught my ear on her program - but I didn't catch the name of the band — so I contacted Ms D on Facebook and she quickly replied with the info:

"A Hundred And Forty Four Thousand" - Shawn Brown And Da Boyz

The words are adapted from Revelation 14 and I've given a sketch of the main body of them below - although as they improvise more and more towards the middle and end — I'll leave that for you to decipher.

Revelation 14

You can support Shawn Brown and Da Boyz by purchasing this song with unlimited streaming, a downloadable mp3, or on their A License to Drive "Live" CD on Amazon:

Anywho — I do hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do and feel the love of God come POURING through!

A Hundred And Forty Four Thousand - Lyrics

Clap your hands…come on every body!
Come on every body!

Let me tell you what John saw:

Lord I looked,
I saw a Lamb, (I saw a Lamb)
Standing on the mountain side, (On the mountain side)
With him - there was a hundred and forty four thousand,
With the name of the Father their fore-heads!!

(When he spoke), It sounded like thundering water,
(When he spoke), It sounded like a rolling thunder,
And they came to sing - a brand new song,
Couldn’t no body learn, but the 144,000,

I saw Abraham, Jacob, Isaac, too,
Shouting, rejoicing,
               [couldn't understand this line]
I saw my mother, father, standing in the crowd,
All the saints were gathering out of every tribe,

What did you see?
What did you see?

Does anybody here know Jesus?

Darlene Zschech - Everlasting

Hi!

Sometimes searching for great music to post here results in finding very little that really speaks to my heart and tastes—(keeping in mind that I've already posted 100's of GREAT songs—it's becoming more challenging for sure).

But recently it's like the floodgates have been opened—and everyday I find several more I want to add here.

The other morning I awoke with a melody playing in my head and heart—and it was like I was hearing it with new ears.

I marveled at how beautiful the melody was—and though I couldn't recall the lyrics well—those I did spoke deeply to me.

Today I went searching for the song and fortunately (or was it something else) remembered the singers name: Darlene Zschech.

In short order I found the song too: Everlasting.

I'm not sure why it didn't impact me as strongly when I first heard it—but now I've fallen in love with it.

The lyrics are posted below the "music-only" video embedded here.

I hope it Blesses you as much as it does for me—and that it leads you also to the "Way EVERLASTING!"

Everlasting - Lyrics

Lord, I want to know you more,
Follow you with all my heart and soul,
Lord, I want to know your voice,
Lead me in your way, everlasting,

Show me your ways,
Teach me and guide me in your truth, my Savior,
Confide in me, speak mysteries,
My heart is longing for your touch.
For only you can fill this need in me,

Lord, I want to know you more,
Follow you with all my heart and soul,
Lord, I want to know your voice,
Lead me in your way, everlasting,

You go before me,
Open doors that lead me to Your faithfulness.
Whisper in me, so heavenly,
My heart is longing for your touch,
For only you can fill this need in me,

Age to age,
Everlasting to Everlasting!
Generations will seek Your face!!

Lord, I want to know you more,
Follow you with all my heart and soul,
Lord, I want to know your voice,
Lead me in your way, everlasting,

Lord, I want to know you more,
Follow you with all my heart, my soul,
Lord, I want to know your voice,
Lead me in your way, everlasting,

Everlasting!!!

Video: His Eye Is On The Sparrow - Anja Nissen

Hello,

In a day and age when performers feel like they have to run around the stage and do all kinds of theatrics—I love to find talented singers who allow their performance to simply speak for itself.

I'd never heard of Anja Nissen until I found a clip of her singing the old Gospel song, "His Eye Is On The Sparrow," a moment ago on YouTube.

(More about the song here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/His_Eye_Is_on_the_Sparrow )

The video below is from her performance when she was a contestant on The Voice Australia TV show in 2014.

Just 18 years old at the time, she blew the judges and audience away with her breathtaking take on this Gospel song—and went on to win that year's competition.

After a bit of searching, I can't find any sites that indicate whether she is a Christian or not—but God can still speak through anyone about His love for us.

I hope you are also Blessed by her amazing performance!

Awesome Gospel Song: Psalm 61 - Matthew Ward

Video/Music Below - The video is a still image but the music is awesome!!

------------------------------------

Hi!

Some time ago I posted a video of Matthew Ward and Richard Souther's song Psalm 61, with lyrics taken more or less from that verse in the Bible.

(See that post here)

That version was a simple arrangement with Souther playing acoustic piano and Matthew Ward singing.

I'd heard another version of this song Matthew Ward had done with a much more involved production, but was so used to the older version I didn't like it as much.

Recently I heard it again...and really like it now.

I'll share it here and hope it will Bless you as well.

LYRICS BELOW

Psalm 61 -  Music Matthew Ward - Richard Souther

Hear my cry, O God
Give heed to my prayer
From the ends of the earth I call to thee
When my heart is faint
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I
For thou hast been a refuge for me
And a tower of strength against the enemy
A tower of strength against the enemy
And let me dwell in thy tent forever
Hear my cry, O God
Hear my cry, O Father
Hear my cry, O God

Selah - The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power

I LOVE this one!

Hope you enjoy it!

Selah - The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power

Screen capture from the video

Matthew 27

50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.
51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, 52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.
54 So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!”

Matthew 28

He Is Risen

28 Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door,[a] and sat on it. His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men.
But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.”
So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word.
