Awesome Video: Former Klansman Johnny Lee Clary's Inspiring Story

Since creating this blog entry in 2013, Johnny Lee Clary passed away and has gone into his eternal reward.

Johnny Lee Clary - June 18, 1959 – October 21, 2014

Hello!

Recently I saw a video where Johnny Lee Clary spoke about his life.

He talks about his childhood, the racism he was taught, and how that eventually brought the Ku Klux Klan calling.

Motivated by hatred and looking for acceptance, Johnny climbed the ranks to the Klan’s top leadership position.

But as you might imagine eventually all this brought him was heart-ache and pain.

The Rev. Wade Watts, a black Minister of an African-American church that the Klan harassed became an unlikely lifeline to Johnny.

In a 700 Cub Interview Johnny relates:  “The Klan had set fire to his church and did everything under the sun to harass him.  He looked right at me, and he goes, ‘You can’t do enough to me to make me hate you. I’m going to love you. I’m going to pray for you whether you like it or not.’"

Thankfully, Johnny now shares his triumph over all his hatred and mistakes through his faith in Jesus.

Enjoy!
