The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir - Psalm 34 - Live

Psalm 122:1

Hello Brothers and Sisters!

I hope your day is going well!

Recently, I came across a number of excellent videos featuring New York's Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir—and have posted one of my favorites below.

Their performance of Psalm 34 starts out gently and then builds into a powerful and moving time of praise for our God in Heaven!

Then, as the music ends—the congregation breaks into nearly two minutes of spontaneous praise and worship of the King of kings, and Lord of Lords!

Seeing all the beautiful faces in the choir and congregation reminded me—yet again—of the "choir in heaven" (* See Revelation 7:9-10 below)—and I've attached a comment from another viewer who had a similar thought.

I pray this song will Bless you and flood your heart and mind with God's Love, Peace, Comfort, Healing, and Love!

Lyrics are posted under the video.

Revelation 7:9-10
 ---------------------------------------------

Psalm 34 - Lyrics

I sought the Lord
And He answered me
And delivered me
From every fear

Those who look on Him
Are radiant
They'll never be ashamed
They'll never be ashamed

This poor man cried
And the Lord heard me
And saved me from
My enemies

The Son of God
Surrounds His saints
He will deliver them
He will deliver them

Chorus

Magnify the Lord with me
Come exalt His name together
Glorify the Lord with me
Come exalt His name forever

Oh, Taste and see
That the Lord is good
Oh, blessed is he
Who hides in Him

Oh fear the Lord
Oh all you saints
He'll give you everything
He'll give you everything

Magnify the Lord with me
Come exalt His name together
Glorify the Lord with me
Come exalt His name forever

Let us bless the Lord
Every day and night
Never ending praise
May our incense rise

Magnify the Lord with me
Come exalt His name together
Glorify the Lord with me
Come exalt His name forever

Taste and see
That the Lord is good
He'll give you everything
He'll give you everything

   Romans 10:9-10

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

---------------------------------

If you've made this decision—believed it in your heart and confessed it with your mouth—let God speak to you by reading the Bible—and seek out fellowship with others who also believe.

Pour out your heart to God in Prayer (simply speaking to Him in reverence)—asking Him to reveal Himself to you and to provide for your needs.

Life in Jesus is the best decision you will ever make.

God Bless!

In Christ Alone - Christina Grimmie

Hi!

Recently, I was reminded of the Gospel Hymn, In Christ Alone.

Many artists have posted lovely renditions of it, and I set about to find the right one to share here.

After quite a bit of searching I found not only a beautiful version—but one with a POWERFUL testimony attached to it as well.

Some may be familiar with Christina Grimmie—who was a contestant on the TV Show "The Voice" in 2014—and won high praise from coaches and music stars and eventually finished in 3rd place on the show—and secured recording contracts through her appearance.

Sadly Grimmie was shot and killed by a deranged man while she interacted with fans after a concert in 2016 after she initially opened her arms to give the man a hug.

While I remembered hearing about her tragic death—what I didn't know is that she was an outspoken Christian.

In 2012, Christina posted her performance of In Christ Alone, as an Easter Greeting to her YouTube viewers.

The lyrics take on a special significance—considering that just four years later—at just 22—she would truly be "home with the Lord.":

"No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
'Til He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I stand"

(complete lyrics posted below)

James 4:14

I pray as you listen to her sweet rendition—she describes as one of her "favorite songs, EVER"—that you feel the amazing Love and Call of our Savior, Jesus the Christ.

Act 4:8 and 12
 -----------------------------------

In Christ Alone - Lyrics

In Christ alone, my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm

What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand

There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again

And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ

No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny

No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
'Til He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I stand
