Messianic Jewish Praise: Lamb - Jerusalem Descending

Hello Brothers and Sisters!

Today we're going to get in the "way-back machine."

: )

As I've written about before on this blog—in the 1970's the Messianic Jewish band, Lamb was making a big impact on Christian music.

Their songs combined the acoustic rock of that era—seasoned with a pinch of a traditional Jewish sound and feel.

Below you'll find a music-only video of their song from that time, Jerusalem Descending—which speaks to the hearts of Messianic Jews and Christians and our longing for our eternal home—and our love for the Messiah of all—Jesus the Christ—the Lord of lords and the King of kings!

You'll find the Lyrics under the video.

Jerusalem Descending - Lyrics

Yerushalayim (Hebrew: Jerusalem) descending
The city from the sky
Abraham’s dream
And the answer to my cry

For those who love Messiah
A Kingdom is prepared
The citizens are holy
And there’s no weeping there

No more songs of sorrow
No more tails of woe
The pain of all the ages
We shall no longer know

Yerushalayim chadash (Hebrew: New Jerusalem)
All things are made new
As the glory of Yeshua (Hebrew: Jesus) is coming into view

Instrumental Break

For those who love Messiah
A Kingdom is prepared
The citizens are holy
And there’s no weeping there

No more songs of sorrow
No more tails of woe
The pain of all the ages
We shall no longer know

Yerushalayim chadash
All things are made new
As the glory of Yeshua  is coming into view

As the glory of Yeshua is coming into view

Thanks so much for stopping by!

May God Richly Bless you!

Jesus is LORD!

Time is growing short!

Seek Him!

   Romans 10:9-10

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

---------------------------------

If you've made this decision—believed it in your heart and confessed it with your mouth—let God speak to you by reading the Bible—and seek out fellowship with others who also believe.

Pour out your heart to God in Prayer (simply speaking to Him in reverence)—asking Him to reveal Himself to you and to provide for your needs.

Life in Jesus is the best decision you will ever make.

God Bless!

Romans 5:1-5
