Anointed Gospel: Jason Crabb - I'd Rather Have Jesus - Live!

Video Below:  Jason Crabb's Wonderful Live Performance Of I'd Rather Have Jesus

Jason Crabb first burst onto the Christian Gospel music scene while performing with his family — which included his twin brothers and two sisters — and they'd sometimes be joined by their dad and stepmother.

While all of The Crabb Family are very gifted and talented singers — it was oldest brother Jason's heart-felt, anointed vocals, and sincere and humble presence that first caught the attention of many.

Below, you'll find a video of Jason Crabb's wonderful and anointed live performance of the Christian standard, I'd Rather Have Jesus.

Filmed in a church-like setting — Jason is surrounded by other Gospel singers and musicians — and notable country artists such as Randy Travis and members of the Oak Ridge Boys.

I'd Rather Have Jesus - Lyrics

I'd rather have Jesus than silver or gold
I'd rather be His than have riches untold
I'd rather have Jesus than houses or lands
I'd rather be led by Your nail-scarred hand

Than to be a king of a vast domain
Than be held in sin's dread sway
Oh, I'd rather have Jesus than anything
This world can afford today

I'd rather have Jesus than man's applause
I would rather be faithful to His dear cause
I would rather have Jesus than all the worldwide fame
I'd rather be true to His holy name

Than to be a king of a vast domain
Than be held in sin's dread sway
Oh, I'd rather have you Jesus than anything
This world can afford today

Oh, I'd rather have you Jesus than anything
This world can afford....

Spoken:  I love you Jesus

More than anything
Love you Jesus
More than anything

Jesus is LORD!

Time is growing short!

Seek Him!

   Romans 10:9-10

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

---------------------------------

If you've made this decision—believed it in your heart and confessed it with your mouth—let God speak to you by reading the Bible—and seek out fellowship with others who also believe.

Pour out your heart to God in Prayer (simply speaking to Him in reverence)—asking Him to reveal Himself to you and to provide for your needs.

Life in Jesus is the best decision you will ever make.

God Bless You!

Scandalon - Michael Card

Beautiful Christian Music And Video:  Scandalon - Michael Card

The song Scandalon is the title track to the 1985 album by Christian musician/songwriter Michael Card's  — while the lyrics are posted under the video below, they're a little challenging.  So knowing the definition of that word may help one to understand and enjoy it more completely.

The site Bible Study Tools offers some of the following about the meaning of the word Scandalon:

        "A trap, snare
Any impediment placed in the way and causing one to stumble or fall, (a stumbling block, occasion of stumbling) i.e. a rock which is a cause of stumbling
Applied to Jesus Christ, whose person and career were so contrary to the expectations of the Jews concerning the Messiah, that they rejected him."

 ---------------------------

While some might be tempted to only apply the word to the Jewish leaders and people of Jesus' day — it's equally applicable to anyone who tries to find a way to God through any anything other than accepting through faith the abundant Grace and Mercy lavishly bestowed on us by Jesus — through His obedience to His prophesied death on the cross — and resurrection from the dead three days later!

John 14:6

May your faith in Jesus be stirred and strengthened as you listen to the words of this beautiful song — and may God's Holy Spirit impart His truth into your spirit and heart through it!

Scandalon - Lyrics

The seers and the prophets had foretold it long ago

Note"In 1 Samuel 9:9 it is written (Formerly in Israel,if a man went to inquire of God, he would say,"come let us go to the seer," because the prophet of today used to be called a seer.)"

That the long awaited one would make men stumble
But they were looking for a king to conquer and to kill
Who'd have ever thought He'd be so meak and humble

He will be the truth that will offend them one and all
A stone that makes men stumble
And a rock that makes them fall
Many will be broken so that He can make them whole
And many will be crushed and lose their own soul

Along the path of life there lies a stubborn Scandalon
And all who come this way must be offended
To some He is a barrier, To others He's the way
For all should know the scandal of believing

He will be the truth that will offend them one and all
A stone that makes men stumble
And a rock that makes them fall
Many will be broken so that He can make them whole
And many will be crushed and lose their own soul

It seems today the Scandalon offends no one at all
The image we present can be stepped over
Could it be that we are like the others long ago
Will we ever learn that all who come must stumble

He will be the truth that will offend them one and all
A stone that makes men stumble
And a rock that makes them fall
Many will be broken so that He can make them whole
And many will be crushed and lose their own soul
