Video: Comedian Tim Hawkins Sings His Testimony Set To Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead Or Alive"

Comedian Tim Hawkins Sings I'm A Christian

Hi!

If you ever seen Christian comedian Tim Hawkins perform, you know that he can be very zany.

Usually he takes on some aspect of his life, church, or the people he knows...and tells stories that twist and turn humorously through those experiences.

He also often uses his guitar and voice, and turns popular songs into comedic commentary.

Comedian Tim Hawkins Sings I'm A Christian

I don't know if I've ever seen him in a serious moment.

So when I came across the video I'll post below...I was surprised.

If you've ever wondered where his faith was at...he gives a strong, unequivocal statement about it in song.

He IS a Christian!

Taking Bon Jovi's HUGE hit "Wanted Dead Or Alive"...he fashions his own words to it about his faith and what he believes.

(Lyrics Below)

Tim Hawkins - I'm A Christian
(Set To Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead Or Alive")

I'm not the same

Was ready for a change
Every day my life was waisting away

I was in a place
Where my future looked so cold
I needed the light
And I felt so alone

Chorus:  I'm a Christian,
The narrow road I ride
And Jesus gave me new life

I'm a Christian
A Bible by my side
Jesus gave me new life

I once was lost
But now have been saved
I've seen his grace
I'll always be amazed

So call on Jesus name
And He'll change the way you think

Come to the living well
And take a drink

(Chorus)

Spoken:  He walked the streets
With a cross upon His back
And He took my shame
(muffled: Stepped or Stood) up to the attack

He rose from the dead
Now He's standing tall
He faced a million demons
And He rocked them all

I'm a Christian,
The narrow road I ride
And Jesus gave me new life

I'm a Christian
In Heaven I'll reside
Jesus, Only Jesus gave me new life

Singing old Sunday school song:

3X:  This little light of mine
I'm gonna let it shine

Let it shine, Let it Shine, Let it shine..............

Awesome Video: 1857 United States Revival Goes Global

2 Chronicles 7:14

New International Version (NIV)
14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Hi,

If you are a Christian perhaps you've been saddened by some of the negative changes that have taken place in this country, and through-out the world over the last several decades.

Perhaps like me you long for a sweeping revival to take over this land...and return this nation to Godly principles, and the Godly Blessings that allowed the United States to prosper and thrive.

I just found an interesting video that describes a Christian "revival" that took place in 1857.

Begun as a business men's prayer meeting with only 6 in attendance it soon flooded across this nation until it was necessary to hold meetings out-doors to accommodate the mass of people wishing to attend.  And then revival began spreading around the world

God often uses difficulties to turn us to Him...and in 1857 it was no different.

The US had suffered through a devastating Stock Market crash and rumors of civil war between the states could be felt in the air.

It was against this background of turmoil...that God began moving in a mighty way.

Perhaps we can see this kind of revival once again in this wonderful nation.

I pray so!

2 Chronicles 7:19-22

New International Version (NIV)
19 “But if you turn away and forsake the decrees and commands I have given you and go off to serve other gods and worship them, 20 then I will uproot Israel from my land, which I have given them, and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my Name. I will make it a byword and an object of ridicule among all peoples. 21 This temple will become a heap of rubble. All who pass by will be appalled and say, ‘Why has the Lord done such a thing to this land and to this temple?’ 22 People will answer, ‘Because they have forsaken the Lord, the God of their ancestors, who brought them out of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them—that is why he brought all this disaster on them.’”
