Music-Only Video Below

----------------------------------------------

Hi,

I've shared other music by the sister and brother group and 1970's Christian Music Pioneers 2nd Chapter of Acts—along with solo performances by brother Matthew Ward.

Ward is know for having a very natural voice—and is able to infuse his singing with a wonderful Godly Spirit and energy.

I'd never heard the group's version of It Is Well With My Soul featuring Matthew—but love their take on this old hymn.

After a bit his sisters, Annie and Nelly, join him with their patented harmonies.

I hope this beautiful song Blesses you too—and fills your heart with the knowledge and Peace of our Lord Jesus the Messiah!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

May God Richly Bless you!

Jesus is LORD!

Time is growing short!

Seek Him!

Romans 10:9-10

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Awesome Gospel Song: Psalm 61 - Matthew Ward

Video/Music Below - The video is a still image but the music is awesome!!

------------------------------------

Hi!

Some time ago I posted a video of Matthew Ward and Richard Souther's song Psalm 61, with lyrics taken more or less from that verse in the Bible.

(See that post here)

That version was a simple arrangement with Souther playing acoustic piano and Matthew Ward singing.

I'd heard another version of this song Matthew Ward had done with a much more involved production, but was so used to the older version I didn't like it as much.

Recently I heard it again...and really like it now.

I'll share it here and hope it will Bless you as well.

LYRICS BELOW

Psalm 61 -  Music Matthew Ward - Richard Souther

Hear my cry, O God
Give heed to my prayer
From the ends of the earth I call to thee
When my heart is faint
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I
For thou hast been a refuge for me
And a tower of strength against the enemy
A tower of strength against the enemy
And let me dwell in thy tent forever
Hear my cry, O God
Hear my cry, O Father
Hear my cry, O God

Christian Music: Psalm 61 - Matthew Ward

Mathew Ward with sisters Annie Herring and Nelly Greisen, spent the 1970's and early 80's performing together in a Christian Band they called 2nd Chapter Of Acts.

In 1978 they released a live album with Christian Guitar Master and singer Phil Keaggy called How The West Was One.

According to wikipedia: "The album was culled from a series of 18 concerts held throughout the western United States in 1977."

Mathew Ward, sometimes also called "The Wailer" because of his distinctive vocal style, sings a song on the album he co-wrote with pianist Richard Souther:  Psalm 61.

This is a stripped down version of the song they'd also recorded for a Ward solo album that had a more elaborate arrangement.

In this case, it's just Ward singing, accompanied by Souther on Piano.

Although this is a YouTube video...it is audio only.

So unless you're driving a car or operating heavy machinery...it'll be fine if you just close your eyes and sing along.

Psalm 61

Hear my cry, O God;
Give heed to my prayer.
From the ends of the earth I call to Thee when my heart is faint;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For Thou has been a refuge for me,
And a tower of strength against the enemy.
4 And let me dwell in Thy tent forever
