Rhett Walker Band - When Mercy Found Me

Hello brothers and sisters,

Today's song, When Mercy Found Me, from the Rhett Walker Band tells a tale that many of us who finally fully surrender to Jesus can relate too.

Our lives taking twists and turns through the years, all leading down "broken roads" leaving us feeling lost and hopeless—but thankfully that's when we finally look up and discover our Savior Jesus patiently waiting for us with open arms and abundant Grace, Love, and Mercy.

If you are still on one of those dark and lonely roads—Jesus is the answer you've been looking for—as He is for each of us who come to Him and call Him the Lord of our lives.

   Romans 10:9-10

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

---------------------------------

If you've made this decision—believed it in your heart and confessed it with your mouth—let God speak to you by reading the Bible—and seek out fellowship with others who also believe.

Pour out your heart to God in Prayer (simply speaking to Him in reverence)—asking Him to reveal Himself to you and to provide for your needs.

Life in Jesus is the best decision you will ever make.

God Bless You!

Through It All - Andrae Crouch - Live

In the 1970's and 1980's, Top Ten singer and multi-instrumentalist Barbara Mandrell had a very popular National TV variety show helping make her "one of the most successful singers of that time."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbara_Mandrell

The show featured Mandrell and her sisters performing songs—and doing silly, comedy skits.

At the same time the talented and influential Christian artist Andrae Crouch (1942-2015) was making the rounds performing his original Gospel songs.

In 1980 Mandrell introduced Andrae to her TV audience and he sang one of his most popular songs, Through It All—written after God had healed him from a severe illness.

His performance on the show is one of my favorites—and his voice is clear and strong—and his piano playing is superb.

I pray you'll give this video a spin—and let God's Holy Spirit whisper His Love into your heart!

Lyrics Are posted under the video—and the video is cued to start 22 seconds in—near the end of an introduction by Mandrell.

Though It All - Lyrics

I've had many tears and sorrows
Had questions for tomorrow
There've been times when I didn't know right from wrong

But in every situation
God gave me blessed consolation
That all my trials come to only make me strong

Oh....

I've been a lot of places
And I've seen millions of faces
Oh, but yet there were times I felt like I was all alone

But right there in my lonely hour
It became a precious lonely hour
Jesus reminded me that I was His own.

Through it all.
Through it all, Oh, Yes!
I've learned to trust in Jesus
I've learned to trust in God

Let me tell you that—

Through it all
God never failed me
Through it all
He never let me down
I've learned to depend upon His word

So now I thank God for the mountains
And I thank Him for the valleys
And I thank Him for those storms
He's brought me through

For if I never had a problem
I'd never know that God could solve them
You see, I'd never, never know
What faith in my God's work could do

But now I can tell the world

That through it all
Through it all
Don't you know I've learned to trust in Jesus
Oh, I've learned to trust in God

Let me tell you

That through it all
Through it all
I've learned to depend upon His word
I've learned to depend upon His word

When the doctor walked from my bed and shook his head

I've learned to depend upon His word
I've learned to depend upon His word

How Great Thou Art - Carrie Underwood Vince Gill

Video Of Live Performance — And Lyrics Below

Zechariah 9:9

Hi!

Today's musical performance video features a beautiful performance of the great hymn How Great Thou Art by Carrie Underwood Vince Gill during the Academy of Country Music "Girls Night Out" Awards.

Here are some thoughts if either of those names evoke negative feelings:

Sometimes when it comes to Christian music — God's people will look at the musicians and singers involved and judge the music based on their lifestyles and walk.

While I don't disagree that there is some place for that when it comes to who we support with our money (ie: by attending their concerts and purchasing their work, etc.) — we can also sometimes simply rejoice that when entertainers of all kinds sing praises to our Lord and King — regardless of their own personal "walk" or beliefs.

This brings to mind when Jesus entered Jerusalem seated on a colt — the religious leaders told Him to silence the people who were shouting praises to His name.

I love Jesus' reply found in the story about it Luke 19:40:

Luke 19:30-40

Or — in a similar way — the Bible reveals that the High Priest Prophesied when he and the Jewish leaders conferred about killing Jesus:

John 11:49-52
The God breathed Bible is making it clear to us that He can speak about Himself through everyone (and everything)!!

---------------------------------

So please give this beautiful tribute to our Lord and Savior by Carrie Underwood and Vince Gill a spin and let it speak to your heart about our Lord's unfailing Grace, Mercy, and Love!

Lyrics Below

How Great Thou Art - Lyrics

O Lord my God,
When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made;

I see the stars,
I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed

Then sings my soul,
My Savior God, to Thee
How great Thou art,

How great Thou art!

Then sings my soul,

My Savior God, to Thee
How great Thou art,

How great Thou art!

When Christ shall come,
With shout of acclamation
And take me home,
What joy shall fill my heart

Then I shall bow,
In humble adoration
And then proclaim:
"My God, how great Thou art!"

Then sings my soul,
My Savior God, to Thee
How great Thou art,

How great Thou art!

Then sings my soul,

My Savior God, to Thee
How great Thou art,

How great Thou art!

How great Thou art,
How great Thou art!
