Downhere - How Many Kings

Luke 4:14-21 - Painting (detail):  James Tissot (1886-1894)

Hello brothers and sisters,

Today's awesome music—How Many Kings by the band Downhere—could certainly be considered a Christmas song because it references the "Star," the birth in the manger, the gifts of the Magi, and our "new-born" Savior—Jesus the Messiah, the Lord of lords.

But this song is so beautiful—and such a Blessing to me—that I couldn't wait another 10 months to share it with you!

Not to mention that celebrating Jesus birth is definitely something Christians like me feel like doing through-out the year!

------------------------------

I pray that as you listen—you will also be Blessed beyond measure by the Grace and Goodness of God's gift to us through the sacrifice of His Son—Jesus!

If you don't already know Him you can learn more about how to start your new life with Jesus as Lord below.

Lyrics are posted below the video

How Many Kings - Lyrics

Follow the star to a place unexpected
Would you believe after all we've projected
A child in a manger

Lowly and small, the weakest of all
Unlikeliness hero, wrapped in his mothers shawl
Just a child
Is this who we've waited for?

Cause how many kings, stepped down from their thrones?
How many lords have abandoned their homes?
How many greats have become the least for me?

How many Gods have poured out their hearts
To romance a world that has torn all apart?
How many fathers gave up their sons for me?

Bringing our gifts for the newborn savior
All that we have whether costly or meek
Because we believe

Gold for his honor and frankincense for his pleasure
And myrrh for the cross he'll suffer
Do you believe
Is this who we've waited for?

How many kings, stepped down from their thrones?
How many lords have abandoned their homes?
How many greats have become the least for me?

How many Gods have poured out their hearts
To romance a world that has torn all apart?
How many fathers gave up their sons for me?
Only One did that for me

All for me
All for you
All for me
All for you

How many kings, stepped down from their thrones?
How many lords have abandoned their homes?
How many greats have become the least for me?

How many Gods have poured out their hearts
To romance a world that has torn all apart?
How many fathers gave up their sons for me?
Only one did that for me

All for me
All for you

Thanks so much for stopping by—

May God Richly Bless you!

Jesus is LORD!

Time is growing short!

Seek Him!

   Romans 10:9-10

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

---------------------------------

If you've made this decision—believed it in your heart and confessed it with your mouth—let God speak to you by reading the Bible—and seek out fellowship with others who also believe.

Pour out your heart to God in Prayer (simply speaking to Him in reverence)—asking Him to reveal Himself to you and to provide for your needs.

Life in Jesus is the best decision you will ever make.

God Bless!

Acts 4:8-12

  1. Hi Jephyr,
I really love your posts, even though you say you do not go to a 'church', you do. The church you attend is the church on the blog, and I have to say you are as a pastor.
    God bless you for sharing.

    1. Hi Brenda, Thank you so much — I do love sharing my faith in Jesus. : ) Just to clarify: I attend many churches in my area but have not found one to call "home" just yet. Yesterday I spoke with a young man who reminded me about his church home — one I've visited before — and now plan to go visit there again asap. Thank you again and God Bless you too!
