Joyous Gospel Song: Keith Green - "Easter Song"

Hello!

Recently, I heard a TV preacher reminding viewers that the "Easter Message" of Jesus' willingness to endure the cross, followed by his wondrous resurrection, is a year round celebration for Christians.

If you are already a Christian, you know that is so true!

That train of thought put "Easter Song" by the late Keith Green in my mind...and I laughed at myself that I'd waited to post it here on this blog until "an Easter sometime in the future".

Penned by Annie Herring of 2nd Chapter of Acts, "Easter Song" celebrates the resurrection of Jesus, and Keith's beautiful and joyous version can be found on his first Christian album "For Him Who Has Ears To Hear" (1977).

Although the world lost Keith and two of his children when they died in a plane crash in 1982, his music and ministry (with wife Melody) live on and continue to Bless MANY people, and thankfully Melody continues to make both available on lastdaysministries.org.

16 When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body. 2 Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb 3 and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?”
