Hi!
I've been finding some amazing traditional Gospel music recently!
If you are anything like me, and love that sound (and the mesaage it brings)—then you are invited to give George Dean & The Gospel Four's toe tapping, finger snapping, joy inducing, spirit lifting, Lord in Heaven praising, gospel song, "Secret Closet" a spin.
The video is music only, but you'll find the lyrics below it—so feel free to sing along and give some praise to the King of Kings!.
Secret Closet - Lyrics
So good to know,
I got a place to go,
When the world gets me down,
And disappointment's all around
I find my Secret Closet and Pray, Pray Pray!
Repeat 1 X
You talking about a good time children,
(Til we're all alone)
Songs of praises all day long,
Ain't no secret what my God can do,
What he's done for others He'll do the same for you,
I just find myself a Secret Closet,
When you get down there, You just Pray, Pray, Pray!
We need to Pray!
(repeat)
If the Lord God will fix it for me,
He sure will fix it for you!
(repeat)

Annointed Gospel Music: Run On - The Echoaires (Live)
"Music-Only" Video Below
--------------------------------------
Hebrews 12:1-3 New International Version (NIV)
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
This song is so AWESOME!!
It's called "Run On" and is sung by a group called The Echoaires.
This wonderful song reveals what an amazing musicians and singers they are—and how Blessed their music is.
The song starts out gently and slowly ramps up until end.
I hope you will feel moved and Blessed by it too!
(lyrics Below video)
"Run On" - Lyrics
Chorus:
Lord, I've got to run on and see,
Just what the end is going to be,
Every day, I'm making preparations,
To see God's face,
I've got to run on,
Run on and see,
What the the end is going to be,
Oooh,
(Repeat Chorus)
I found out in this race that,
That if I try, and look like myself in Christ,
Then I can have what I want in life,
(Repeat chorus)
The Bible says this,
You know I heard the Scripture said,
If you ask it shall be given,
Seek, you shall find,
Knock and the door will be opened unto you
(Repeat Chorus)
You know what pastor,
You know what I found out,
There some folks today,
That just come to church,
Some just come to look at,
Some come to praise
But we got news,
We got news for you,
What ever it is today,
If you can't help me,
Don't try to stop me,
Move out of my way,
Don't you try to block me,
I've got a race to run,
And I'm running by faith
I'm running!

Anointed Christian Music: Jennifer Hudson - Jesus Promised Me A Home Over There
Music-Only Video Follows Commentary Below
------------------------------
I've loved the gospel sound for years!
Since I grew up in the mountains of Colorado, I'm not sure exactly where this comes from.
Lately I've been searching and searching for songs that fit that slot in my ear and heart, and thank God I've finally stumbled across a good variety of songs in that style and will be posting them here as time allows.
Just today I found this one from Jennifer Hudson called "Jesus Promised Me A Home Over There."
It's such a simple but beautiful arrangement—just piano and organ—and features Jennifer's amazing voice.
I hope it speaks to your heart as well!
Thanks for stopping by—and may God richly Bless you!

Revelation 7:13-17
And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore,
“they are before the throne of God
and serve him day and night in his temple;
and he who sits on the throne
will shelter them with his presence.
16 ‘Never again will they hunger;
never again will they thirst.
The sun will not beat down on them,’
nor any scorching heat.
17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne
will be their shepherd;
‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’
‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
The Great Multitude in White Robes
9 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice:
“Salvation belongs to our God,
who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb.”
who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb.”
11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying:
“Amen!
Praise and glory
and wisdom and thanks and honor
and power and strength
be to our God for ever and ever.
Amen!”
Praise and glory
and wisdom and thanks and honor
and power and strength
be to our God for ever and ever.
Amen!”
13 Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?”
14 I answered, “Sir, you know.”And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore,
“they are before the throne of God
and serve him day and night in his temple;
and he who sits on the throne
will shelter them with his presence.
16 ‘Never again will they hunger;
never again will they thirst.
The sun will not beat down on them,’
nor any scorching heat.
17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne
will be their shepherd;
‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’
‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

Jesus Promised Me A Home Over There - Lyrics
There's a place in heaven prepared for me
When the toils of this life is over
Where the saints are clothed in white
Before the throne singing praises forever, forever more
When the toils of this life is over
Where the saints are clothed in white
Before the throne singing praises forever, forever more
In my Father's house there are mansions bright
If He said, then I know, I know it's true, yeah
There's a place for me beyond, beyond the sky
Brothers and sisters there is one for you
If He said, then I know, I know it's true, yeah
There's a place for me beyond, beyond the sky
Brothers and sisters there is one for you
Jesus, He promised me a home over there
Jesus promised me a home over there
No more sickness, sorrow, pain or care
He promised, me a home over there
Jesus promised me a home over there
No more sickness, sorrow, pain or care
He promised, me a home over there
Jesus promised me a home over there
Jesus promised me a home over there
No more sickness or sorrow, pain or care
Jesus promised me a home over there
Jesus promised me a home over there
No more sickness or sorrow, pain or care
Jesus promised me a home over there

Uplifting Christian Song: B.J. Thomas - He's the Hand on My Shoulder (1979)
The "Music Only" Video Follows The Commentary Below

Hi!
BJ Thomas has a unique, powerful voice that many people might first associate with his 1969 pop hit "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head," from the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, starring Robert Redford and Paul Newman. *
You might also recognize other pop songs he recorded like Hooked On A Feeling and (Hey Won't You Play) Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song, as well as many others he recorded in his heyday during the 60's and 70's.
A long time ago I read his book Home Where I Belong and in it he wrote candidly about his struggles with addiction and alcoholism and how he almost destroyed his marriage and himself.
The beginning of his story is not unlike those that many stars go through, often with fatal results, but Thomas' life was spared when he became a Christian in 1975 and found not only eternal life but also earthly salvation from drugs and alcohol.
"In 1976, Thomas released Home Where I Belong ... the first of several gospel albums. It was the first Christian album to go platinum, and Thomas became the biggest contemporary Christian artist of the period."
Today I'll post a great song from that first Christian album called "He's the Hand On My Shoulder."
The video embedded below is "music only" but you'll find the lyrics underneath it.
Thanks for stopping by!
May this song Bless you and fill you with God's love!
B.J. Thomas - He´s the Hand on My Shoulder - Lyrics
He's the hand on my shoulder
When I need to know someone cares
He's the hand on my shoulder
Assuring me that He's always there
He's the voice in the silence
That sounds so sweet and so clear
He's the voice in the silence
Telling me that He's always near
So there's no need for me to worry
When things aren't going quite so smooth
'Cause just as long as I put my trust in Him
He will always see me through
He's the light in the darkness
Shining through bright as day
He's the light in the darkness
Guiding me each step of the way
He's the hand on my shoulder
When I need to know someone cares
He's the hand on my shoulder
Assuring me that He's always there
