Merry Christmas! Today is the day when many Christians rejoice and celebrate the earthly birth of Jesus the Messiah!
Below you'll find a "music-only" video of lovely choral / orchestral arrangement of the traditional Christmas carol, Good Christian Men, Rejoice by Bob Fitts.
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and
believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are
justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

If
you've made this decision—believed it in your heart and confessed it
with your mouth—let God speak to you by reading the Bible—and seek

needs. Life in Jesus is the best decision you will ever make. God Bless You!
Tomorrow is Christmas Day — A day when many Christians the world over celebrate the birth of our Risen Savior, Jesus the Messiah!
In honor of His birth, today's post features a touching music video from the "Gentlemen Trio" vocal group, GENTRI — and their beautiful version of the traditional Christmas Carol, O Holy Night.
I pray their music will Bless you and remind of of the true meaning of Christmas — and fill your heart with the Love, Joy, and Peace found only through Jesus the Messiah, King, and Lord of all!
O Holy night! The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of our dear Savior's birth!
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
'Til He appears and the soul felt its worth
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices!
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!
Fall on your knees; O hear the Angel voices! O night divine, O night when Christ was born O night, O Holy night, O night divine!
Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming
Here come the Wise Men from Orient land
The King of kings lay thus in lowly manger
In all our trials born to be our friend
He knows our need, to our weakness is no stranger
Behold your King; before Him lowly bend
Behold your King; before Him lowly bend
Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His Gospel is Peace
Chains shall He break, for the slave is our brother
And in His name, all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
Let all within us Praise His Holy name!
Christ is the Lord!
Then ever, ever we praise Thee!
Noel! Noel!
O night when Christ was born
O night
Fall on your knees; O hear the Angel voices! O night divine, O night when Christ was born O night divine, O night when Christ was born

Embedded below you'll find a "music-only" video of a medley of familiar Christmas Carols by singer Heidi Joy, accompanied by Tim Tyler on piano.
It's wonderful to hear these old familiar songs —Star Of Wonder / It Came Upon A Midnight Clear / O Little Town Of Bethlehem — stripped down to just a reverent and beautiful solo vocal and piano performance.
I pray in this season when many Christians the world over celebrate Jesus' birth — this music will Bless you and flood your heart with the Love and Grace found only through our risen Lord and Messiah.

Christmas Day, a day when many Christians celebrate Jesus' birth, will soon be here.
For some, it is simply a time of sharing gifts and gathering with family — but for many Christians it is also a time of remembering Jesus our Savior — His humble, yet miraculous virgin birth in a manger — prophesied by scripture and declared by God's angels (Luke 2:8-20).
Please Note: All links in this post will open in a new window
So Christians celebrate Jesus' birth because we know that His sinless earthly life, death, and resurrection, paid in full perfectly and completely the price for our sin (Luke 24:36-48) — granting us Mercy, Forgiveness and eternal life with our God — where there will be no more tears, sorrow or pain! (Revelation 21:4)
So as we celebrate Jesus' humble earthly birth —we also celebrate the wonderful Blessing to all who believe in Him and His gift of Mercy and Grace! (John 1:12-13)

Below you'll find a beautiful lyric-only video of The First Noel by David Archuleta.
The first Noel the angels did say
Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay
In fields where they lay keeping their sheep
On a cold winter's night that was so deep
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel! Born is the King of Israel!
They looked up and saw the star
Shining in the east beyond them far
And to the earth it gave great light
And so it continued both day and night
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel! Born is the King of Israel!
Born is the King!
Hallelujah! Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel! Born is the King of Israel!
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel! Born is the King of Israel!

Recently, I heard JJ Heller's Star of Wonder (We Three Kings) — and instantly fell in love with with her soft and gentle performance and knew immediately I wanted to post it here as the first Christmas song of this 2019 Season.
Whether you celebrate the 25th as our Savior's birth or not — allow God to pour his abundant Mercy, Love, Healing, and Blessings into your heart and life through her music — and remind you of our Wonderful Messiah and King — Yeshua — Jesus the Christ!!

On a recent drive I caught the middle of Phil Wickham - Safe, on a local radio station and loved it and its message.
Later at home I looked for a version to share here and decided on a live solo acoustic performance he did during an appearance on K-LOVE, a US based radio network.
You'll find that video embedded below (as well as the radio version with lyrics at the bottom of this post)
Safe is a moving and beautiful song whose lyrics speak to our human limitations—and that our own efforts and struggles in life lead us only to feelings of emptiness and hopelessness—all while the Love and Arms of Jesus our Mighty Lord reach out to Comfort and Save us.
To the one whose dreams have fallen all apart
And all you're left with is a tired and broken heart
I can tell by your eyes you think you're on your own
But you're not alone
Have you heard of the One who can calm the raging sea
Give sight to the blind, pull the lame up to their feet
With a love so strong it never let you go
No you're not alone
You will be safe in His arms You will be safe in His arms The hands that hold the world are holding your heart This is the promise He made, He will be with you always When everything is falling apart, you will be safe in His arms
Did you know that the voice that brings the dead to life
Is the very same voice that calls you now to rise
So hear Him now, He's calling you home
You will never be alone
You will be safe in His arms You will be safe in His arms The hands that hold the world are holding your heart This is the promise He made, He will be with you always When everything is falling apart You will be safe in His arms
Cause these are the hands that built the mountains, the hands that calm the sea These are the arms that hold the heavens and they are holding you and me These are the hands that heal the leper pull the lame up to their feet These are the arms were nailed to the cross to break our chains and set us free
You will be safe in His arms
You will be safe in His arms
The hands that hold the world are holding your heart
This is the promise He made, He will be with you always
When everything is falling apart, you will be safe in His arms
You will be safe
You will be safe
When everything is falling apart, you will be safe in His arms

Studio version with Lyrics—and also featuring additional vocals from Bart Milliard of the Christian band MercyMe:
Last night on TBN, The Crabb Family hosted a program and sang, Through the Fire—written by their father Gerald—and it reminded me how much that song speaks to me.
After a quick search I found a video (shared below) of the Crabb's performing a version of that song that is VERY powerful. It's from 2002, so they all look very young and sing with fire and enthusiasm I've not seen in other renditions.
In fact, back on 9-29-2013, I shared a different video of the family performing the same song—but that one is a more thoughtful, stripped down version.
In today's video however, a young Jason (the eldest) leads his siblings and dad as they all sing with even more energy and passion backed by more elaborate music—leaving Jason emotionally wiping tears from his eyes in the end.

Through the Fire - Lyrics
So many times I've questioned certain circumstances
Or things I could not understand
And many times in trials weakness blurs my vision
And then my frustration gets so out of hand
Oh! But it's then I am reminded, I've never been forsaken
And I've never had to stand one test alone
That's when I look at all the victories, and the Spirit rises up in me
And It's through the fire my weakness is made strong
Oh! He never promised that the cross would not get heavy And the hill would not be hard to climb He never offered our victories without fighting But He said help would always come in time
Just remember when you're standing in the valley of decision And the advisory says give in Just hold on Our Lord will show up! And He will take you through the fire again!
Spoken: Here's the key to it church
I know within myself that I would surly perish
Oh! But if I trust the Mighty hand of God, He'll shield the flames again
He never promised that the cross would not get heavy And the hill would not be hard to climb Oh! No! He never offered our victories without fighting But He said help would always come in time
Just remember when you're standing in the valley of decision And the advisory says give in Just hold on Our Lord will show up And He will take you through the fire again
Just hold on Our Lord will show up! And He will take you through the fire again!

Many of us find ourselves in bewildering circumstances that challenge and confound—causing us to question ourselves and the meaning of our lives.
It's in these darkest times, when we are brought to the point of despair, that we often finally hear the patient call of our Heavenly Father in our lives.
Today's post features the "Official Lyric Video" of Zach Williams' song, Rescue Story, that echoes that experience of turning from that lonely despair to the Loving embrace of God.
I pray this post and Williams' music will Bless you and fill your heart, mind, and spirit with the Perfect Love and Grace from the Lord of life, Jesus Christ, the Risen Savior and Lord!

Rescue Story - Lyrics
There I was empty handed
Crying out from the pit of my despair
There you were in the shadows
Holding out your hand you met me there
And now where would I be without you
Where would I be, Jesus
You were the voice in the desert
Calling me out in the dead of night
Fighting my battles for me
You are my rescue story
Lifted me up from the ashes
Carried my soul from death to life
Bringing me from glory to glory
You are my rescue story
You were writing the pages
Before I had a name
Before I needed grace
Singing songs of redemption
Every time I ran away
You were louder than my shame
And now where would I be without you
Where would I be? Jesus
You were the voice in the desert
Calling me out in the dead of night
Fighting my battles for me
You are my rescue story
Lifted me up from the ashes
Carried my soul from death to life
Bringing me from glory to glory
You are my rescue story
You never gave up on me
You never gave up on me
You are my testimony

Today's post features Josh Garrels and a video/live performance of his song, Sisu.
Simply seated on a chair, holding a guitar, and leaning into a microphone, Garrels launches into its challenging lyric, metaphorically catapulting listeners through his thoughts and feelings about his earthly experience—from the futility of life without God and a search for meaning without Him—to the realization that God alone is THE ANSWER—and He alone is Truth.
Screen Caps From The Video Below
The song floods the mind and heart with thoughts and phrases that are poetic and engaging, yet deeply moving and profound—building and building until you feel your heart stirred with the unmistakable conclusion that Garrels, like the lost and wandering sheep of Jesus' parable, has been Found at last by our Creator and LORD!
Garrels' lyrics (included under the video), as stated above, AREchallenging—but God's Love and Truth come brightly SHINNING through.
As always, I hope and pray that Garrels' music will speak to you, filling your mind, heart, and spirit with the unmistakable Peace, Comfort, Love, And Blessings of knowing our Risen Lord and Savior—Jesus the Messiah!!

Acts 13:38-39 38
“Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the
forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. 39 Through him everyone who
believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able
to obtain under the law of Moses.
By the word and command, mortal man can stand, Son of Man is the manna manifest
In the flesh and the blood, and the bones and the rocks, in the valley of the dead
The dry bones are gonna walk and talk
To the rhythm of the saints y’all, to the rhythm of the saints
And I paint it red to remember the dead, who laid down their lives for the truth
And the seed that is buried takes root, and this ignorant world will have proof
See I remember the sins of my youth, the path and the madness of unrestrained pleasure
The heavier trip it made the heavier debtor
In the deepest of dark without a wing or a feather,
The spiral closed in like a cage
Like a cage
A maze that’s amazing for days turns to rage if the page it refuses to turn
And the hopeless will hope the book burns
When the lesson it returns, but the lesson is still unlearned
See, I yearn to discern if a life can be earned or is given as a gift to the dead
See, I read and I bled and I fed to the full my soul on the sickest of sickness
Seeking the light of a saviors witness, a way that one day that I might forget this
But slave master wont permit this
Cause I’m a hooker I’m his mistress
And when I look for freedom he puts more chains on me
Strangles my hope so that I live like a zombie
What master's house can this be, that when I look for freedom he still deceives me?
What master's house can this be, that when I look for freedom he still deceives me?
If there’s a God I screamed, “Answer me!”
I didn’t expect an answer to be received, Oh no.....
But He received me!
He said
You must die, to be set free, living in the kingdom of God eternally
Open up my eyes so that I could see, and die with a cry revolutionary
Every man and woman is a witness, and we will never forget this
Truth
Undiluted, undisputed, never to be substituted, or uprooted, fully suited for the war
It’s a modernization of a timeless metaphor, and
By the boomerang we bring the beats back more
What for man, do we work exterior to core, or begin this in the spirit of the Lord
Now you could pull the chord, but the people still sing it acapella
Marching to the beat I hear their feet are in the cellar
Fear not the world cannot stop what must begin within you and me
Fire wind, holy hymn, beautiful diadem, hidden within, dyed in
Every colors broken down, harmonize with my eyes spectrum
In the end bleeding into the source, to the wonderful Father of Lights
All the pressure and pain, produces perseverance
Purged by the flames, without interference
Produces a hope, In the glory of God
My God, I am your son, and I know that you will finish the work that you’ve begun
Homespun, grassroots, spontaneously suits the purpose, and we don’t deserve this
Life
He gives life!
You must die to be set free, living in the kingdom of God eternally
Open up my eyes so that I could see, and die with the cry revolutionary
Every man and woman is a witness, and we will never forget this
Truth
You must die to be set free, living in the kingdom of God eternally
Open up my eyes so that I could see, and die with the cry revolutionary
Every man and woman is a witness, and we will never forget this
Truth
