Beautiful Christian Music: Wood and Nails - Audrey Assad & Josh Garrels - Live

Hi brothers and sisters,

Today you'll find an absolutely beautiful song/live video from The Porter's Gate Worship Project Vol 1—featuring the voices of Audrey Assad & Josh Garrels.
.
I find its melody lyrics about the love of our Savior and Lord Jesus very moving—and it speaks to the heart of true believers who long to fellowship and be with Him—and serve Him with our lives, work, and praise.

Matthew 5:15-16

The video's description adds this information about the song:

In June (2017), musicians, pastors, writers, and scholars from around the country gathered together in NYC to collaborate on a series of  worship songs for a new worship record themed around faith and vocation. This song was originally submitted to our songwriting contest by Keith Watts. Additional lyrics and melody by Isaac Wardell and Madison Cunningham.

-------------------------

I pray this music will resonate with you as well—and speak to heart about the unending love our beautiful Lord and Messiah Jesus has for us—and lead you into an ever deeper walk with Him!

If you don't already know Jesus as Lord—you can learn more about how to start your new life with Him below.

Lyrics are included below the video.

Wood and Nails - Lyrics

O humble carpenter, down on Your hands and knees
Look on Your handiwork and build a house
So You may dwell in me
So You may dwell in me

The work was done with nothing but
Wood and nails in Your scar-borne hands
O show me how to work and praise
Trusting that I am Your instrument

O loving laborer with the sweat upon Your face
Oh, build a table that I too may join You
In the Father's place
Oh, in the Father's place

The work was done with nothing but
Wood and nails in Your scar-borne hands
O show me how to work and praise
Trusting that I am Your instrument

[Interlude]

The kingdom's come and built upon
Wood and nails gripped with joyfulness
Oh, send me out, within Your ways
Knowing that the task is finished

The dead will rise and give You praise
Wood and nails will not hold them down
These wooden tombs, we'll break them soon
And fashion them into flower beds

The curse is done, the battle won
Swords bent down into plowshares
Your scar-borne hands, we'll join with them
Serving at the table You've prepared

[Interlude]

O humble carpenter

May God Richly Bless you!

Jesus is LORD!

Time is growing short!

Seek Him!

   Romans 10:9-10

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

---------------------------------

If you've made this decision—believed it in your heart and confessed it with your mouth—let God speak to you by reading the Bible—and seek out fellowship with others who also believe.

Pour out your heart to God in Prayer (simply speaking to Him in reverence)—asking Him to reveal Himself to you and to provide for your needs.

Life in Jesus is the best decision you will ever make.

God Bless You!
