I'm Leaning On You - Robert Blair's Original Fantastic Violinaires

"Music-Only" Video Under Commentary

--------------------------

Hello Brothers and Sisters,

I hope you are doing well today and clinging to the Eternal Hope we have through Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

Though life can be difficult at times—and the Bible tells us that we will experience persecution and firey trials here on earth—but Paul, writing in Romans 5:1-5, declared that trials will produce in us perseverance, character, and hope—and Jesus, in His Beatitudes Sermon, said that when we are unjustly insulted and slandered for our faith—we can rejoice because "great will be your reward in Heaven."

Matthew 5:11 & 12

If you've been at all vocal about expressing your faith in Jesus—you'll likely already know full well about suffering for that.

From family and friends, to work and social media, and sadly even our governments—taking a Christian stand can often mean you will face persecution, rejection, loss of opportunity and employment, and even furious personal and physical attacks.

Webster Dictionary: Persecute (Persecution)

Furthermore, in Ephesians 6:10-18 we are told that "we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places" and that we are to be prepared for this battle by putting on the "Armor of God"—enabling us to "stand firm against all strategies of the devil."  We are also instructed to stay alert and pray at all times

In addition, we can also be disappointed and hurt by those we love.  Sometimes it can be unconscious or unintentional on their part—at other times—due to man's fallen nature—loved ones can be intentionally unkind, cruel, or worse.

Fortunately, Hebrews 13:5-6 tell us that "God has said,

“Never will I leave you;
    never will I forsake you.”

So we say with confidence,

“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?”

The Bible also declares in Psalm 34:18 that "The Lord is near the brokenhearted; he delivers those who are discouraged"—and Psalm 147:3 proclaims the wonderful promise that "God heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds."

So—although it can be difficult to wade through all the difficult trials in our lives—we are to cling to Jesus and His Word.

In John 16:33, Jesus said:  "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Tribulation as defined by Merriam-Webster Dictionary is "distress or suffering resulting from oppression or persecution."

Also—notice Jesus doesn't say we "might," or "may," or "could" have distress and suffering—He says we WILL.

Thankfully—as Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us:

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

So, family of God, take heart as you go through earthly trials—for we serve a living Savior, Jesus!, who cares for us, and will help see us through this life as we Lean on Him.

Spoiler alert:  We are promised a wonderful eternity with our Lord and Savior too!

I'm Leaning On You - Lyrics

I'm leaning on You
Just to see me through

I'm leaning on You
Lord, I need a break-through

Lord, I'm leaning on You
For You know what to do
Oh, God—I'm leaning on You

—Let me say it again

I'm leaning on You
Yes I am—Lord I know
(To see me through)
Oh! I know—that You can help me along the way

I'm leaning on You
Lord, (I know that) I need a break-through

Sometimes I'm down on my knees
Drinking tears
Lord help me please
Oh!  Lord I'm leaning on you

Let me say this right here

Sometimes it get rough
On the way
So I call on you Jesus
Each and every day!

Lord you are my strong tower
If we can run to you
(unable to transcribe)

I'm leaning on You
Just to see me through

I'm leaning on You, Jesus
I ain't got nobody else—but I know
I need a break-through

I'm leaning on You
For You know what to do

I'm leaning on You
'Cause I need a break-through

(I'm leaning on You)
One thing about God—I know He's not like man

(I'm leaning on You)
Man will walk away and leave you

(I'm leaning on You)
But God will stay right by your side

Oh Lord,
I'm leaning on You

Thanks so much for stopping by—

May God Richly Bless you!

Jesus is LORD!

Time is growing short!

Seek Him!

-------------------------------------------

   Romans 10:9-10

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

---------------------------------

If you've made this decision—believed it in your heart and confessed it with your mouth—let God speak to you by reading the Bible—and seek out fellowship with others who also believe.

Pour out your heart to God in Prayer (simply speaking to Him in reverence)—asking Him to reveal Himself to you and to provide for your needs.

Life in Jesus is the best decision you will ever make.

God Bless!

Acts 4:11-12

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.' Thank you for your encouraging post.

I love that scripture verse too — and find myself repeating it in my mind often as I find myself in circumstances I don't understand.

God Bless you—and thank you for your comment.
