Mercy Me - Homesick

Revelation 21:3-5

Hi!

Recently I was flipping through Christian music stations in my car.

I finally landed on one — and I was Blessed by hearing several songs in a row that I really loved — and will be posting several as soon as possible.

--------------------------

I'll start with Homesick by Mercy Me which really spoke to my heart — about that longing to finally be with Jesus  — surrounded by His Perfect Love and Peace for all eternity.

I can't wait!

I pray the words to this beautiful song will also speak into your heart about God's Love, Forgiveness, Mercy, and Healing!

Lyrics are under the "music-only" video below.

Homesick - Lyrics

You're in a better place, I've heard a thousand times
And at least a thousand times I've rejoiced for you
But the reason why I'm broken, the reason why I cry
Is how long must I wait to be with you

I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
I've never been more homesick than now

Help me Lord cause I don't understand your ways
The reason why I wonder if I'll ever know
But, even if you showed me, the hurt would be the same
Cause I'm still here so far away from home

I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
I've never been more homesick than now

In Christ, there are no goodbye
And in Christ, there is no end
So I'll hold onto Jesus with all that I have
To see you again
To see you again

And I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
Won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
Won't you give me strength to make it through somehow

I've never been more homesick than now

Thanks so much for stopping by!

May God Richly Bless you!

Jesus is LORD!

Time is growing short!

Seek Him!

   Romans 10:9-10

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

  1. Hi Jephyr,
beautiful song, and where it says 'If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow' I will say 'My heart is where my home is, and I love You O Lord my strength.'
    God bless you for sharing.

    1. Hi Brenda, I'm glad you like this one. I love what you added. As Paul wrote, he desired "to depart and be with Christ" but "to live is Christ" — and Jesus gives us the strength to live for Him and to labor until He calls us home. Thank you as always for commenting. God Bless and Heal you Brenda — and refresh the dry bones of His Church and Israel!
