Hi!

God has been so good to me — leading me to all kinds of new and interesting music from all around the world — that speaks of Him!

Today's video features Yamma Ensemble — who perform original & traditional Hebrew music "true to the character of the Middle East —where they were born and raised."

According to their website — their "exotic music performed on ancient musical instruments (kopuz, duduk, hand drums), which are typical of the Middle East."

While they make no claim of being Messianic/Christian Jews - Christianity must be understood from it's Jewish roots — that Jesus, His 12 disciples, and Paul were all Jewish — and that with few exceptions all the books of our Bibles were written by Jews.

Perhaps this is why the sound of this kind of music speaks so deeply to my heart — and in the past I've posted music from Lamb — a Messianic Jewish band.

Yamma Ensemble further describes their music as "traditional music and material of the various Jewish diasporas...songs of the Jewish communities from Yemen, Babylon, and Sefarad, as well as Hasidic music, with the fascinating forms and rhythms that have been preserved by generations of Jewish traditions.

Their performance of Psalm 104 is included below — with lyrics and translations from their video's description — provided underneath it.

I hope you will enjoy this as much as I do and that it speaks to your heart about our Magnificent Lord and Creator — and our Beautiful Savior Jesus!!

The 104th Psalm has long been known as the "Creation Psalm." This psalm presents a poem about the creation of the world. One of the longer psalms, it is traditionally divided into 35 verses.

Lyrics and Translations

Barchi nafshi et adonay
Praise the Lord, Oh, my soul

Who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain

Hamkare ba'maim aliyotav
Who layeth the beams of His chambers in the waters

Hasam avim rechuvo
Who maketh the clouds His chariot

Hamehalech al kanfey ruach
Who walketh upon the wings of the wind

Oseh malachav ruchot
Who maketh winds His messengers

Flames of fire his minister

Yasad eretz al mechoneha
Who laid the foundations of the earth

Bal timot olam va'ed
That it should not be moved forever

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
